Great hardware, less good software
The hardware device is great - plug and play, works first time. It has a good range too. For the money it's an absolute bargain. Within 10 minutes of receiving it I was controlling my TV, STB, Blu-ray and sound bar with 90% of functionality as I wanted it.The partner app is more limited, but has potential. The interface needs a rethink; in particular, when you access remotes for download, you can't see at all what you're getting until it arrives. If you go for an unsorted template, the buttons don't snap to the screen, so everything ends up a mess. There are not enough pre-existing button choices in the app. The layouts they give you are OK but not sufficiently customisable or varied. The app isn't designed natively for iPads and if using on an iPad Mini you have to scroll to access the whole screen layout. The Apple TV support is about 3 years out of date, which is a shame - no match for Apple's own remote app, although it does work up to a point. All these niggles could be sorted through app improvements. I really hope they'll address this, as - particularly at this price - it has the potential to be a fantastic solution to the problem of endless remote controls.

Update - now works seamlessly with Alexa
I ignored the negative reviews re Alexa compatibility and gave this little device a chance not expecting much. So glad I did - this thing is the nuts!It works seemlesley with Alexa for every ir device I could throw at from the fireplace to my amplifier and TV and with no additional android server rquired.I think negative reviewers are either pre the ‘ic for EU’ app update or have not figured out that you need to configure each button on the remote as a general lamp switch (bottom of the ‘choose brand’ page). It will then appear in the alexa app onece you ‘discover devices’ and you can then rename it to any comand you wish in the ‘routines’ section ie “turn amplifier to TV” or “select” for the TV.If your more adventurous, the ir app alows you to combine remote buttons in a “scene” with a 0.5 second delay between each selection, ie you can inlude 4 presses of the tv volume button and then name it “turn up volume” in Alexa. All this functionality for £20... you cant go wrong with tbis device!

Better than Harmony Hub!
WOW. This is genuinely better than Logitech Harmony Hub. I bought a harmony hub but it wouldn’t allow custom remote learning (something to do with a firmware and ‘firewall’ update) so I sold it and bought one of these. I use it to control via Alexa my cheap projector and it does just that. Love it!!

I found this really easy to set up
I found this really easy to set up. I've played around with making some custom remotes and setting up 'scenes' (turning the TV on and selecting the right input all together etc.)I've had no connectivity issues or crashes with it. I'm very happy with the product.I get on fairly well with technology in general, so the lack of support hasn't really bothered me. Be warned that the help link on the app leads you to an empty page with just a button saying "ok".

Controls everything!
It’s worked really well and I’ve got a range of routines set up with Alexa to control a range of devices at once. As a product it is excellent. The one flaw is that it is not clear which app to use to get the best integration. There are two or three, but they have slightly different functionality. It’s controlling all IR devices in my living room.Best guide for this was Hibbert’s Home Tech on YouTube.
