I am 74 and a woman with 2 1/2" short hair that is thinning. I used to use Jonathan's Dirt putty for many years, but couldn't find it lately. I've tried many substitutions and I like Fatboy Perfect Putty even better. It gives me great volume, is more emolent and holds for 2 days. Not a day goes by where people don't stop me in public and compliment me on my hair style. It is so easy to look put together with a quick bean sized amount of this rubbed together in your hands then rubbing it all through your hair for volume and a quick shaping with your fingers. Easy peasy. Wash and dry hair 1st & 20 seconds later you are done & it lasts all day. Fantastic product!

Great hold and no shine.

I'm getting used to it. It's a little stickier than I expected, but it does give my hair more bounce and less frizzier. I'm still in search of the perfect product, though this is pretty good.

I have short hair (around 2 - 3 inches) and I've tried lots of different things like gels, pomades, creams, and most recently a hair powder (that was gross!). I saw some other good reviews on Fatboy so I thought I'd give it a shot. WHERE has this been all my life?! When you dig it out of the container, it's kind of like a creamy putty. I use it on clean dry hair, though it says you can also do wet (haven't tried that yet). This works great! You basically put it in your hair and then sort of position your hair how you want it, and it stays! It has a really pleasant low odor scent, barely noticeable, which I like. I'll definitely be buying this again.

I’ve bought about 20 different pastes and waxes and this is by far my favorite. It’s not greasy, it’s actually matte and I wash my hair about every 3 days and it holds up. If I need to add some more, I do and it’s still not greasy. It also as a bonus does not have a strong scent! I hate the ones I can smell all day because they’re so strong. This is light and after it’s in my hair, I don’t smell it. My hair stays in place really well but I have a real pixie so I can’t at if it would still hold if your hair is a little longer.

Since I started wearing my hair longer about a year ago I’ve been searching for a product that would hold my thick hair back without feeling heavy or crusty, without drying out my hair, provide very little shine, and wash off my hands and out of my hair easily. I’ve tried them all, various American Crew products, Redken Brews Cream Pomade and Texture Pomade, Sonny’s Original Surf Paste, Hardworking Gentlemen Clay, MensCrafted Jacob’s Hair Paste, Highland Glacial Cream and Glacial Clay, all of them. None of them did what I wanted. Some were too hard to apply, most of them left my hair crusty, all were very hard to wash off my hands and out of my hair. But the Fatboy Perfect Putty is the absolute best. Hands down favorite. It’s lightweight, holds without looking or feeling crusty, resets easily just by running damp hands through your hair, washes out and off my hands easily, and doesn’t dry out my hair. Superb product. The search is over.

Great product. Just the right amount of hold and nobody knows you are using it.

UPDATE TO MY 5 star review: I looked and I have purchased this product over 40 times over the years. Previously gave it a 5 star review below. They did something to screw up the formula. It’s not what it used to be which was more of a thick clay putty with a matte finish that was easy to wash out. I got one a month ago that was greasy and hard to get out of my hair. So I threw it away. Then I got another new one last week that was a light fluffy texture that really dried my hair out. All the same product “perfect putty” in the same can. I can’t in good conscience continuing to buy this stuff. Downgrading my 5 star to a 1 star. Original 5 star review: LOVE this stuff. I spike my hair up and this is the best product I have ever used for this and I have used a lot of products. I am hooked. So glad to see that it was only recently offered on Amazon. This is a fantastic mens hair product. It has a clay texture but has a strong hold that will last all day. The greatest part is that it is easy to wash out of your hair. I used TIGI Matte Paste for a while and that stuff was impossible to wash out. FatBoy comes out in a breeze. Don't mind the silly name. BUY THIS PRODUCT!
