Loved these lights. So very bright white, 5000K. Easy to install. Had 4 installed in 10 minutes or less. The room is alive with light. Very pleased.

No. They are not just bright. They are staring at the sun kind of bright. Like looking at the headlights of a Mack truck just before it plows you over kind of bright. Like the opening door of an alien space craft kind of bright.They are easy to install, and like others have said, they don't hug the ceiling quite as tightly as I had hoped. But they are no worse than the ugly yellowed trim rings that were there. I just installed them tonight so we will see what kind of longevity they have. For right now, I am ordering a dimmer.

I had the recessed lighting in my kitchen when I purchased my house but they were very yellow and not bright enough at all. My electricity bill was insane for what I was actually using and decided to change all the light fixtures like these to LEDs.I found these online and figured for the reviews and price I would give them a try. I couldn't be happier that I did. WHAT A DIFFERENCE.Beware, they are BRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! I ended up buying a smart dimmer after installing these in case I needed to tone it down a little but honestly after a week, they didn't seem so shockingly bright anymore. Now I can cook and clean my kitchen without any issues seeing anything. The kitchen no longer gets unbearably hot when using the lights and I have already seen a difference in my electricity bill.HIGHLY recommend these!

You will most likely need additional spring clip adapters that are not included with these lights!After overnighting these lights I go to install them and find out they do NOT FIT my Halo style 6" light cans because there is no place to slip the springs into on the sides of the can! These clips are not exactly cheap either. These should be included with the lights if you are going to claim that these lights fit all cans!So now I get to wait 3 more days for the stupid adapter clips to come in, or send these lights back...Also, these lights are far smaller than I expected, barely covering the sheetrock on the 6" cans. The original light trim was at least a full inch larger than these lights, and the lens area on these are much smaller than they should be for a 5-6" light can. You might want to look at other options before choosing these.

We had several incandescent bulbs in the basement of a house we just bought. After getting the first bill and calculating the saving switching from 71w to 15w equivalent LEDs, we opted to buy a 6pk and replace all 6 in the basement.The lights VERY bright. Great for a basement with limited windows, however I do recommend a dimmer switch. Speaking of a dimmer switch, we noticed two of them would not dim. After swapping these retro fits around and putting some LED bulbs in, we have determined this circuit is not compatible with these bulbs. For now it means we have two spares.I did not rate the longevity. I will up later when they have been installed for a full year. We bought a name brand retrofit Kit a few years ago that is still going on our previous home.
