Great for long walks and gym
Just received and walked 6 city miles then went to the gym. Very comfortable. Was anticpating feet might hurt since I'm used to pretty "squishy" Allbirds shoes for the same exercise. The wide toe box is truly amazing and the flat thin sole comfortable. I actually feel more stable on uneven surfaces in these shoes vs the thicker sole Allbirds. You can really feel the difference in the zero heel to toe lift ratio going up hills - big calf stretch. It is obvious these are better for feet, stability, etc. Glad my doctor was wearing them or I wouldn't have known they existed. Great for gym. I have better balance lifting weights, etc. in these shoes.

Size down!
These shoes are very cute, low profile! Love the way they look on & go with anything! They are big on me, I should have sized down at least a 1/2 size. Super comfortable though!

Very good shoe
As soon as I put these shoes on, I felt definite relief from my arthritic, bent big toe. The wider, taller box is a much better option than the brand of shoes I've been wearing for the last 7 years and there's plenty of room for my orthotic. I ordered my normal size instead of having to order a half size larger to accommodate my orthotic so they fit as expected. There are a few minor things that would raise my rating to a 5: - The shoe laces are round, short and slick. They don't stay tied. I had to replace them with longer laces. - The sole could have a better grip. These are a little slick on the packed snow and ice. - The heel is a little wider than my other shoes. I have very narrow heels so this is even more problematic than my regular shoes. - My feet do tend to slide sideways with any lateral movedment. - Because the toe and heel are at the same level, I've had a tendancy to lean backwards and have to catch myself. The shoe doesn't propel my foot forward when walking so it takes a little more effort to walk. - They could have a little more cushion.Having said all of this, I'm very satisfied with these shoes.

Great shoes
I don’t usually spend this much money on shoes. I’ll just start the review by saying that. But, these shoes are worth every penny. I bought the white ones, but I definitely should’ve bought them black. I only say that because white shoes get dirty so easily! And they’re too pretty to be dirty. I didn’t realize how badly my feet needed the extra wide toolbox in these shoes. And when I started walking with them, my feet just felt instantly better. They have just enough support in them to make walking really comfortable. I do wish the laces were a little bit longer. I have naturally wide feet, and I barely have enough lace left over to put them in a proper bow. Lol. Right now I’ve used them for walking, and wait training. These shoes were brilliantly for both. Will be using them to run pretty soon as well, and I have nothing but high hopes for them. Hopefully they last, as long as the price point would suggest, although I would not mind purchasing these again, even if they didn’t. Worth the money, very comfortable shoe, highly recommend

WIDE, BUT NOT WIDE ENOUGH :(
I'm on an eternal search for a pair of shoes that feel good and actually fit me. I've gotten fittings done in stores and been told that my left foot is Wide, but my right foot is Double Wide and that I have high arches that contribute to a "high volume" foot.I used to prefer Skechers for the Goga Mat insole, but over time Skechers seems to have gotten progressively more narrow and my feet possibly wider as well. I moved on to New Balance since they're a well known brand and I was told that their shoes typically run wider than other brands. This is true!BUT, not all of their "Wide" shoes are created equal. Certain models have wider toe boxes and E or EE width doesn't always mean a specific number value in mm or inches wide, so width is inconsistent with the labeling. In my most recent endeavor to find the perfect shoe, I've purchased the White New Balance 857 in 6.5 XX-Wide and the Altra Solstice XT in 6.5 in the only width available. You can see how the widths compare to other shoes I own in the photo I've included in my review. The widest shoe in the lineup is the New Balance 880 in Blue (#6) or the New Balance 1080 (#4). Despite being DOUBLE Wide, the 857 is one of the most narrow feeling shoes in my photo. I think this is a combination between an obviously more narrow toe box and the leather material making it feel stiffer and like it's exerting more pressure on my feet vs the softer mesh materials. The shoe furthest to the right (#7) is a size 6.5 Altra Solstice XT. As you can see, it's the smallest shoe in terms of length despite being the same size numerically speaking. It also has a wider toe box despite not actually coming in a "Wide" width. Unfortunately, it's also the shortest shoe vertically speaking. My foot was spilling out of the top, likely due to my high arches. This was not an issue with the other shoes in the photo BUT I do commonly have problems feeling like the shoe is tight regarding vertical space. And yes, it is a wider toe box but was still tight in width for my left foot which is a Wide and even tighter for my right foot which is Double Wide.I used to size up to get a slightly wider shoe, but it really sucks to do that with shoes used for gym workouts because I feel my feet sliding forward all the time.I still haven't found the perfect shoes, but from what I've tried so far I think my next move will either be to try a size up in the Altra Solstice XT (hoping that length, width, and height will improve with a size increase) or figure out which New Balance models are TRULY wider and not just labeled as such.PHOTO INFO1. Skechers Go Walk, size 72. Propet, 4E size 6.53. New Balance, D size 74. New Balance 1080, D size 6.55. New Balance 857, 4E size 6.56. New Balance 880, D size 7.57. Altra Solstice XT, size 6.5(I don't remember the model names for 2 and 3, and they unfortunately rubbed off the labels over time.)

Great fit!
My DPM recommended these shoes because I have a wide toe area and narrow ankles. Not only do these shoes fit and are so comfortable, they look great. I bought a pair of Brooks previously and hands down they do not even come close to Altra.Highly recommend these shoes.

Le coup de foudre
J’adore tellement ces espadrilles, que je m’en suis achetée deux paires identiques. Une que je porte pour travailler et une pour courir! Ce sont de vraies pentoufles !

Light and flexible
I have been wearing barefoot shoes for a few years now and these did not disappoint in terms of the barefoot feeling.I do wonder about the quality and how long they will last but so far they have been super comfortable. My only other complaint is that the laces are very slippery and short so you have to double tie them and even then sometimes they come undone.

Perfect training shoe!
I love these shoes! I have a bunion and it’s very difficult to find a shoe that doesn’t hurt my foot. These are the perfect shoes for any workout and I highly recommend them if you have wide feet or a bunion like me. I have been using them daily since I purchased them a couple of weeks ago and my feet are happy.
