Awesome 90s Magic
Loved this movie when I was kid back then. A friend recommended it to me when I was a little kid. So cool. I watched it now and I have to say...still love it!! Sure you can poke holes in the plot all day. But who cares!! It's meant to be a fun kids fantasy movie, and that's what it is. So much fun and so much nostalgia for how fun they made movies for kids in the 90s. Not to mention...this is one of those Disney movies they wouldn't get away with now. Villain is a gangster who stole a million dollars cash. Adult jokes the parents get, but go over the kids heads. Loads of fun!!

A Kid who wrote a $1Million dollar blank check Spending Spree!
"Blank Check" starring Brian Bonsall from Star Trek: TNG as young Preston Waters, Miguel Ferrer as our main mob middleman Carl Quigley, Michael Lerner as Edward Biderman, Tone Lōc as Juice, and Rick Ducommun as Henry loyal to Preston.Quigley runs into Preston and his bike with his car and gives him a signed blank check telling him "your parents will know what to do with it."In the end, at the same time, this little kid had to deal with money he stole from the mob coming after him, the fact that the money was running out, and alot of gold diggers who prove they are not his real friends.Looking at the computer screen with only $332 left in the bank, he still now owed the caterer Yvonne (Debbie Allen) $100k, this little Mr. McIntosh will wish he had turned the chair around to face his father and said "I am Mr. MacIntosh, I need help, and I want to come home!" Because He didnt turn his chair around, everyone will think that what he had done was just a fantasy with no credit given to his struggle. Not even the woman Shay Stanley (Karen Duffy) who turned out to be an FBI agent knew he was that Mr. MacIntosh. The only one who he had said that he was Mr. MacIntosh was Henry who he thought abandoned him but returned with icecream where he said in response to "I'm going to miss Mr. MacIntosh" replying "I'm going to miss you too!"

"If You Loved Home Alone, You'll Love Blank Check."
That's the review we see on the cover. Yeah, I'm sure a lot of you notice the similarities between this film and Home Alone. It's possible that the people who made this film got their ideas from Home Alone, as the first two were already out when this was made. Some of the similarities include a reserved kid, who seems to prefer more time by himself, than with friends. A kid who has a disagreement with his family, and explains how he wants his own house money, and ends up getting what every kid dreams $1 Million just as the kid in Home Alone got to stay Home Alone and got his own trip to NYC and hotel. Another similarity with this film and Home Alone 2 is how Kevin calls a number to make a hotel reservation by slowing down his Talkboy recording, and the people listening believe that weird voice is a real voice, in this film Preston uses his computer voice and is able to buy a house from the people listening to that weird voice, lol!! Also, like both Home Alones, it involves a kid who really thinks he'll enjoy all that money and what he dreams about getting. At first he really does, but afterwards he wants to be around his own family and friends. Of course, the main similarity is the slapstick humor with this film and Home Alone, as it shows the guys after the kid get taken down in funny ways. One final similarity between this and Home Alone is we notice how Kevin's parents never know that he was targeted by burglars when they were gone. It's the same thing with this film, except Preston's parents seem to know something happened but just aren't sure what happened.I actually really love this film, and prefer it over Home Alone. I think it's a faster paced movie, and has more of a plot to it. However, there are some unanswered questions that we all wonder about the film. First off, in real life would Preston have gotten arrested? Of course, this is a Disney movie and the main character is a kid and one we like. They probably wouldn't want a kid's film to show a main character get arrested, but would he have? Or what about what would happen next? I mean, I'm sure they'd find out in court the guy who said he was Macintosh was actually Quigley, and those guys would talk about how Preston made up Macintosh and spent all that money, would the police track him down? What would happen to all the things Preston bought? Would Preston tell his parents the next day about who Macintosh really was as he said he'd tell his Dad, and would he get in trouble by his parents for it? Final question, would Preston and Shay eventually get together as Preston wished? Yeah, part of the movie involves a kid in-love with an older lady who was an FBI agent. That might have been ok to include in a movie when the film was made 20 years ago, but I doubt they'd put that in a film nowadays.Anyways, thanks for reading this long review. I wanted to share my own thoughts for this film. In all, it's pretty entertaining, and it's a film that shows every kid's dream. I would recommend it.

Nostalgic
Got this to share with my kids and add to my collection. It was a favorite of mine as a child. (So maybe I’m over thinking it now as an adult?) However, the boy and full blown women’s relationship is uncomfortable. They kiss at the end (which as I was watching, I remembered in time to fast forward.) I feel very uncomfortable and had a down right weirded out feeling behind it now, and find it freaking bizarre!!! I’m a mom of both a boy and a girl and I can tell you right now a grown man kissing a 10 year old girl wouldn’t fly. All this talk about how dark Disney is, it really makes you wonder. I will say I enjoyed this as a kid. It came exactly as described, in perfect condition for $5. I am happy to have it in my collection for nostalgia. Now if we can get a solid copy of Gunther and the paper brigade, that’d be wonderful!! Anyways 4 out of 5 because it’s a great classic from my childhood that came wonderfully but as an adult and mom now look out for pe@oph!le women taking advantage of young boys!!!

It's definitely a kids classic 🤣
It kinda prepared kids about how. 1# simple business mistake can develop. so many 🤔 issues .when such events take place. Similar to a free. all access pass from a wealthy family. who accidentally issued .multiple opportunities with extra benefits ... great movie 🎬 I viewed growing up as a kid
