Good Night New York City (Good Night Our World) [Gamble, Adam, Veno, Joe] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Good Night New York City (Good Night Our World) Review: These books make the perfect baby shower gifts & travel souvenirs - We love every book we've read so far in the "Good Night World" series and always try to get them when we visit a new place. They also make great gifts for babies or young kids and it's fun to buy something a little more personal to add to whatever we've chosen to give from the registry. I like to get books from places that are special to the parents, and they always enjoy opening them. When our son was born I also bought him the books from his birth state and the states where his dad and I each grew up. They are some of our go-to books to read at night, and they are the perfect size to stick in the diaper bag and bring along with us. We have read several of these books now in the past 7 months, and "Good Night NYC" is another great one that I'm looking forward to giving to my friend! Review: Love it! - As a New Yorker living far away this book is wonderful to teach my baby about her heritage! Totally covers all in a fun way!

New York trip prep
My grandchildren have enjoyed this simply but yet full of detail book about NY. We will be taking a trip to NY soon, this book has helped in identifying sites to visit. Yesterday my three old grandson, saw the Statue of Liberty on a tv show, he knew the name and said we are going there.

Very Sweet
I grew up in nyc and wanted to show my daughter a little bit of where I’m from, even though she’s only a 1 year old. It’s mostly (for obvious reasons) just tourist stuff but it’s very cute and sweet. They do show some pictures of the people in their apartments going to sleep which is what I wanted to show her. It’s a good little bedtime story and small enough to travel with

Cute Book
I bought this as a gift about a visit to New York because I could not find anything when I was there. This was the perfect book for a toddler

Decent book for baby
This is a decent book for a baby. We got this as a gift for our friend’s new baby in Australia to give them a piece of our life in NYC. However, the first book they sent me looked tattered and used. I ordered a 2nd one and it looked better but there was still 1 scuff on the backside.

It's like a site seeing tour in a book; doesn't cover everything in the city but it's a starting point to pique interest
The Good Night books by Adam Gamble are enjoyable. There isn't much of a story in any of the books and this one is no different. All the books start in the morning and go through the day until it's finally time to say good night (hence the title) while pointing out different places/things that the city/state is known for. My 1.5 yr old likes the pictures and loves repeating the names of all the places and saying the different things she spots on each page. I like that places/things mentioned can be visited or experienced, plus I like building off of what is written and adding more facts about the different places/things. The only downside is that there are so many places to see/things to do, especially in New York City, that I wish the books were longer to mention more about the city (but I understand that would make the books ridiculously long and therefore it is unfeasible for the author to actually do). I still love the books for their site seeing type of feel.

I had expected the book to rhyme, like most children’s books do. That said, I think for a small child it’s the right sort of length with plenty of pictures and there’s not too much going on. It covers the icon sights of New York. I purchased this as a gift for a 1.5yo boy going to New York - I think it probably has the right amount of detail to hold his attention.
