I already had the smart home app on my phone due to a smart ceiling fan in my office so it literally took 10 seconds to get this up and running. I’m using it to control a bug zapper outside and the wireless internet is no problem at all. It comes on at 8:15 pm and turns off at 3:00 to kill mosquitoes while I sleep. Absolutely perfect smart device at a super low price. How is this priced so low I have no idea. I would recommend all day to friends and family. Love it.

The connection to Alexa is very easy. Works well. They don’t do very well outside. Inside only.

If you read the directions they work great. I just got a new router installed and its 5ghz. None of my devises work with 5ghx. All these smart plugs run off 2ghz. I was about ready to throw them all in the trash and start over, then I called Xfinity and they told me how to split the bandwidth so I have 2ghz, and 5ghz. Now all my devises work again. If you cannot get anything to work with your 5ghz router, call your internet provider and ask them if you can split your bandwidth. It worked for me, and it was easy to do.

You can’t link this outlet directly to Alexa, you have to install the ghome app, register, and then link the app to Alexa. It shouldn’t take multiple apps plus supplying personal information to control a simple socket.The socket works fine and is priced right.

Not reliable at all. I used one to turn on a recirc pump to provide instant hot water. It worked perfectly for about two months, then about once a month for three months it simply wouldn't turn the pump on, meaning i was waking up to cold water in the lines. The only way to get it going again was to pull it out and plug back in. The lSt time I just threw it away along with the other two and replaced with a Leviton smart plug which has been flawless for three months so far.

Pretty much set it and forget it!Pros:- App is easy to use / Easy to setup and use.- Inexpensive and relatively reliable- Small in size as to not use up all the space in a socketCons:- No response from Support with a simple question. Never got a response from over a month ago.- Seems sensative to any Wi-Fi changes - for example enabling Bonding on your network may causethe device to randomly disconnect and thus not follow scheduling.I really like this little device. I had reached out to support over a month ago inquiring if it were possible to pre-configure the device so I can send it to friends & family as a quick plug and play solution. Never got a response.Other than that.. I like these little devices and will recommend them for people who need a simple inexpensive scheduling solution. A-

I fumbled slightly when getting this set up, but that was user error. I followed the instructions for Google nest/home connection. After downloading the Gosund app, I thought it was going to walk me through the set up, but instead, it felt like a salesy thing b/c it was giving me all these ads for products. You have to look for the +, and for some reason, it didn't add properly the first time. I thought it did. So then i went to Google Home to look for it, and it was found but impossible to connect. Finally, i went back to the Gosund app, successfully added it, and then was able to add it to google home. In reality, once you add it to google home, you don't really need the other app. I have it on a timer, and it's just perfect. Very easy to control as well as set up times for. Highly recommend it!

I love these plugs, especially during the Christmas season for timers on my trees. The app is super easy to navigate and the plugs are easy to set up.The rest of the year, my mood lighting comes on when it gets dark and I am good to go!
