Multi-Grip Clear Ribbed Runner Rug Plastic Carpet Protector Mat 26" X 10'0"

I bought this as an attempt to keep my cat from jumping on the kitchen counters. As soon as it was delivered, I cut it in half lengthwise and placed each piece upside-down on the counter-tops hanging a bit over the edge. The thinking was when the cat jumps up, he will get quite a surprise with the nubs sticking out ready to stick in his little paws. They are big enough to get his attention, yet not sharp enough to prick the paws drawing blood. Stupid cat loves it. He just walks all over it, I bet he thinks it is a nice massage. ROFL SMH He only weighs about 9 lbs, so maybe that isn't enough pressure to bother him. Darn smart cat yet a little annoying at times. Good news is I can use these lengths to cover my couch so he doesn't shed all over it. The mat itself is great! Nice and flexible. Easy to cut to size if you need to. I'll probably get another one to put in a very high traffic area. You know, use it for it's intended purpose. What a novel thought!

Makes an excellent runner for our freshly cleaned carpets right at our front door. In our household, we remove our shoes at the door and this gives enough room to come in, close the door and remove our shoes without stepping on our clean carpet. Lays nice and flat, no lifting at the corner and we do not have to worry about small kids tripping over the edge. Easy to cut if needed, with any ordinary scissors. Works awesome for us. Our carpet had gotten dirty over the years and a recent steam cleaning and deep rotary cleaning had our 15 year old carpet looking like new. Not wanting to waste all the hard work, we needed something to protect the entry way of our home and this runner was the easy, affordable answer.

Only complaint is it rolls up on ends and very hard to get to lay down.

This has worked great for us. No smell like someone else said. It stays perfectly on the carpet. I can clean it easily with my cleaner. I can roll it out of the way for us, and unroll it when we need it. We do not wear shoes in the house. I got this so people could step in and leave their shoes to the side. Since I left my parents house, I have never allowed shoes in my house. We spend too much time in the floor playing and exercising. And even if you don't, just think of all the crap on the ground you walk through, that will be in your house, on your floor, if people wear their shoes inside.

EXTREMELY disappointed. The only good thing was that it arrived on time. I have given it over 2 weeks of trying to flatten it with heavy items and also walking on it. It is fairly thin and as advertised, there is a lot of "ribbing" on the back. The ribbing just slides across the carpet even after trying to use my heel to dig it into the carpet. It is definitely a trip hazard. I don't even feel safe walking on it as the plastic kind of moves with each step. The ribbing does absolutely nothing for holding it in place. Not happy with this purchase and definitely not recommending this item. If there was a heavier plastic ribbed runner, it might possibly work.

This item is perfect in every way except for the chemical odor it gives off. I'm hoping it goes away so the child (who this is for) can return to sleeping in their room. Even the dog doesn't want to sleep in that room. I'm giving it a week. I'd put it outside to air out but it is so cold, I'm afraid it might freeze and crack, etc or otherwise degrade the product. Arrived on time. A good thickness...will definitely work for purpose which is to protect carpet.

We use these to keep our pets off our furniture. We cut them down and place them upside down on the couch cushions (pointy side up) They work Great for our needs. The cushion protectors the pet store sells are too sharp, hurting my pets and kids. Also, the pet store ones pull the upholstery fabric. These runners are perfect for us.

Bought this to cover carpeted floor so that I could keep the most used path clean and months after putting it down it still would not adhere to the carpet. The thing just wouldn’t lie flat. Such a pain. Finally got tired of it and took it up.
