Works great! No more pliers, butter knives and screw drivers!
It easily opens the twist/lock jars with a Pop noise. Love it. It even opened the tough 16 oz. vacuum sealed threaded jars but it took a couple of times. No problem for me.For the tough jars, I placed it on top, make sure the rubber pieces on the jaws are aligned. Pressed the button for about 3 seconds and it starts. On the tough jars, it stopped half way so I pressed the button again and it opened the jar, then it retracts the jaws.In the past I've had use pliers, butter knives and screw drivers to try and open these jars, but not anymore.And it runs on 2 batteries!One last note: Make sure the item you purchase is from Robo Twist and it says that on the tool itself.

Be patient! My arthritic hand is very happy!
Because of my poor judgment and insisting that I can open all jars for many years I now have arthritis in my right hand. I expected this tool to open it quickly... I was far too impatient according to my son. I had to put my hands behind my back in order to give this item a chance to perform. I discovered that this really is a miracle tool as long as I keep my hands behind my back. It looks tricky in like it's not going to do the job but it does otherwise I would have sent it back. I bought another one for my sister-in-law and of course she did the same thing ... she was impatient and wanted to restart it. You have to just step away and keep your hands behind your back once you have put this little machine in motion. Keep your hands behind your back don't touch it and don't be impatient like I was at first. I plan on buying a couple more of these for friends. I'm so glad that my son was there to make me be patient and observe rather than complain that it was taking too long... it doesn't take a long time it's like a little miracle! If I didn't like this tool I wouldn't have written so much about it. Just be patient and follow the instructions.
