Aluminum Watercolor Palette 30 Well (11.9"x5.4"x0.8")

I normally like palettes where I can move my paints, meaning I like using pans. I just like the ability to create a new palette whenever I feel like it without having to remove the paint. However, the pans and the added metal plates to help make the pans stay in place just got heavy and super unnecessary. Over time I kind of ended up sticking with a certain set of colors and decided to just try this palette out since it was small enough to fit in my unbalance backpack. Thankfully, I am super happy that I did. The palette is sturdy and super light weight. It is slightly heavier than Altoids mint tin that I have with 18 colors in it! I like the metal on this palette it feels very sturdy and I doubt it would bend or dent in my backpack.The palette also has two mixing wells and if you do not put your brushes in the long well you can use it for more mixing space! Lets just say I am VERY happy I decided to get this. I have not filled all the wells for my paints (since I have a small palette) but if i do get new paints it can easily be added. The only downside, at least for me, is if I ever wanted to rearrange the color I would either have to remove the paint (which is a waste) or use it up but that usually takes a long time, but it looks to me I will most likely keep my color palette anyway so it is not a big problem for me.I highly recommend this palette if you are looking for a sturdy, light weight, and clean looking palette. If you are the type of person that prefers pans over tubed wells then maybe this product is not right for you. Although I still recommend trying it, it is an amazing product.

A very compact palette that fits a fanny pack or carry case. I love it. I got it for the mixing space. it is sturdy and closes well.

Great Palette with nice sized wells. I feel like I have more paint brush room vs the half pans. For those worried about the paint beading because it is a new surface DO NOT clean it with toothpaste or baking soda as it will just scratch it. Just use the Palette and the beading will go away. **Wish they made this exact size without the thumb hole so that I would have more palette room.

I would have. Given this five stars but many of us artists are left handed and this is a right handed palette. In order to. Use the. Thumb hold, the wells are backward and when pulling paint off the palette you have to insert the brush like a right handed person would and it means that we have to flip the palette around backward with our. Thumb in the hole. I. Was disappointed in this. Make a left handed option! For gosh sakes.Otherwise the palette is very nice. Some are saying it is. Flimsy but this is becaus e aluminum is so. Light weight compared to steel. The whole purpose is to. Have a portable field palette that is lighter. It is very well made and has held up well to my use in the months I've had it. I take it when I travel and have had no dents dings or any other issues with the palette itself. Only that it is right handed. I had a bit of beading up while mixing but it quickly. Wore off and I no longer have the problem. I do have some staining on my palette but tend to mix the same colors in the same areas so I don't worry about it. The greens and blues leave a faint stain. No big deal.

I like it because it is large and will not rust. so MANY mixing areas are wonderful and It lies COMPLETELY FLAT... I love that because it much easier to use and less messy.... I do recommend this in any size. I feel it is the best one I have had. I like this brand and would buy again. I have the largest one and it is lighter in weight than my other plastic ones.

Definitely make sure you read the dimensions of the style your purchasing. I didn't realize I was buying such a tiny palette. It's definitely a good travel size, however it does NOT have the thumb hole pictured. My biggest gripe was that it arrived damaged: It was smashed and wedged closed on one side. I had to pry it open with a tool, damaging it further. Bummer.

Purchased this to have in my studio use...Love working and mixing on tin. Easy to clean up too. Always handy even when out on a location...although it is my stay at home/studio pallet. Has all my standby paints plus room for a few of those extra colors I drop in. Great construction along with a nice price.

I got this pallet because I wanted to try a different one. I am using it for the Mijello platinum gouache but I am happy to say this holds lots of paint and is small enough to carry around. I am thinking of getting more of these now that I have a larger set of paint tubes.

The product was - contrary to the pictures - delivered in the version with a hole for the thumb in the upper right corner. But that's okay for me. I use this hole for my right thumb (I'm left-handed) and despite the size of the palette and contrary to all expectations, I get on well with it. However, the edge of the hole is a bit awkward when I'm holding the palette, so I cover it with a small piece of cloth.The first time I used the palette, the colour beaded a lot on the mixing surfaces, but a light rub with a drop of scouring agent fixed this. I have been using the palette for more than a week and have not noticed any staining of the white areas so far.By the way, the colour compartments have a small oval cavity, which is advantageous if you want to apply a small amount of colour to the palette first.

Cette palette est parfaite pour moi. Elle est plus grande que les boites à godets, mais pas encombrante au point de ne pas pouvoir la sortir de votre studio. C’est du métal, donc plus agréable (à mon goût) que les palettes en plastiques, sans pour autant être trop lourde.J’en rachèterai très certainement dans l’avenir.

Une excellente palette pour aquarelle très grande et pratique pour opérer des mélanges
