I like the appearance, they are comfortable to wear they don't put extra pressure on your toes. They're good quality and they give you good support.

Maybe I just work in a gross kitchen, but if there’s any oil on the ground, I have to walk really careful. Or if I step in water I have to be very careful. However they are more nonslip that regular street shoes like vans. They also get very creased and worn looking quickly. We will see how they hold up. I’ve had them for about 2 months and the treat is still great so that’s good. But, very comfortable! I love Altras.

Used for work in grocery store.

Tips:1) They look very nice, but they feel more narrow than the actual torin 5s, maybe because of the leather? Sizing up would give more room.2) Those who are considering these for work beware, they are definitely not even slip resistant! They slip around even on a slightly wet floor. I wish they were grippy.

I have wide feet and tender feet and am always looking for a pair of sneaker that actually make my feet feel good when I am wearing them (especially when I am working. I work in the catering industry and the first time I wore these shoes I was pleased. My feet were comfortable all of my 10 hour shift.My one suggestion is to order up a size. I can wear them with thin socks but if they are thicker I can't fit into them. I have been told that they will stretch so for now I am waiting on that.

I love these shoes. I bought the Torin 5 last week, and puchased the leather version a few days later.They are the best fitting shoe I have ever found, and I am hard to fit. They have a wide toe box, a normal heel, gentle arch support, and a very comfortable, soft but supportive cushion - exactly what I needed and wanted.I have a size 7 left foot, and 7.5 right foot. I bought the Torin 5 (non-leather) in size 7.5. They fit great with a thinner sock. I bought the Torin leather size 8 to wear with heavier socks.When I first put these shoes on I wasn't sure that I would like them. Many shoes hurt my right foot arch. The Altra's felt like they had a soft lump at first. However, after wearing them for about 10 minutes the shoe seemed to conform to my feet.I have bought so many shoes with different sizes and widths, and hava drawer of arch supports that never worked. If they fit in the toe box, the heel often slips. Usually I can't wait to get my shoes off after a few hours. These are so comfortable, I actually like wearing them.They are a zero drop shoe, which is similar to walking barefoot.

I’ve worn Altra Torin’s since my first pair of Torin 4’s… liked them, 4.5 loved and really wanted to love these leather Torin 5’s for work, But they ran a little short, literally! And even though they were described as having the original type foot bed I found them to be a bit too narrow. Since the beginning I have worn a size 11, but the leather Torin’s seem to be a little bit short and a little bit narrower than all the others. I might try and 11 in the wide and see if that will work. Sadly I had to return these.

They feel great but as you can see from the photo after a week of use they are coming apart. 😟 ***Update"** 5 months later and after a humid day the color of the shoe is leaching onto my skin. I was wearing socks that were not new and had worn before. Not sure what would cause this. The shoes still feel great tho 😀
