Disclaimer: I received a coupon for this product if I gave it an honest review.I have been having problems with my knee so it was a good surprise when my friend gave me a coupon for this product. I'm still fairly young and stubborn and haven't quite accepted that I'm not invincible anymore so I was hesitant to start using trekking poles. After getting used to the motion of using the poles, I'm actually glad to have them to take stress off my knee. Now for my honest evaluation:Pros:-Light weight-Collapsible; 3 sections collapse down into compact carry case-Spring loaded impact cushion; 2 of the sections actually compress about 1/2 inch. You don't really notice the change while you are using but I think it would help with anti-fatigue in your hands.-Multiple tips for different terrain; rubber tips, metal tips for rock, and snow/mud tips-Comfortable handles and wrist strapsCons:-Noise; there is a little bit of rattling because of the multiple sections, but it's not too bad-The wrist straps adjustment clasp doesn't quite work but it's easy enough to just tie the strap to the size you wantIn short, I would definitely recommend these poles to anyone who need the added stability for walking, hiking, and backpacking.

Great poles
They do rattle around a bit when you use them but they won’t let you down when it really counts. I used these to fly back down a 4 mile trail when a sudden hailstorm moved in and not once did I have to stop and think about whether they were any worse for wear. They got me off that mountain and earned their place in my my hiking kit. Hopefully they’ll do the same for you.

Worth your consideration.
I haven't had a chance to use these poles in the field yet. My initial impression of the poles is very good. The grip is comfortable, the wrist strap is made of material that is not stiff so it is easy to get your hand through and is very comfortable. I like the ability to easlily disengage the shocks which I think will be helpful in going uphill where you want something stiff and no give. Downhill the shock absorber will be good to reduce the jarring of descending. And I like that they provided rubber feet so you can use these on solid surfaces, either on sidewalks, in a mall, or at home and still have good traction. And a bonus is that there is an extra set. The poles also come with a pair of baskets that can be used in snow so your poles don't sink down through the snow. One more thing, the carrying case is just the right size. I'm looking forward to using these on my hikes this year.
