I was in search for a thinner knee compression sleeve that would not slide down, bunch up, or hinder my ability to play sports in it.....and was pleasantly surprised at how well this sleeve has held up! This has been the only sleeve I've found that has had a velcro strap at the top to help it from sliding down and it really has worked. I would say the thickness of the sleeve is closer to a 3MM sleeve (just enough to feel/compress, but not like the 5MM or 7MM weightlifting knee sleeves). This is not designed to create warmth around your knee like thicker neoprene lifting sleeves do.I found sizing to be pretty accurate (typically a large in knee sleeves and my measurements were also in the Large range for this one too).The only thing that I've noticed that is a little annoying is that the plastic velcro loop/hinge likes to turn sideways when I run. It doesn't impact the knee sleeve, just makes the strap turn a little weird and I have to keep adjusting it.UPDATE (8 months after purchase): Knee brace is still holding up! No issues with the velcro strap and I've found that not stretching the velcro super far keeps the hinge from turning sideways as much. Loved it so much that I bought 2nd one. Activities I've used this brace for include ultimate frisbee, spin classes and CrossFit.

After much experience with the thin knee sleeves --which work fine for a while but lose compressionability after not very long-- I thought I'd try a more substantial knee support without going too heavy. This fit the bill. It's slim enough that it can be worn under pants, yet is thick enough to actually feel like it's doing something. The velcro strap also helps secure it in place. Just be sure to actually measure 4" above the knee, as the website suggests, to get a good fit.

I bought this for IT band issues while running. I measured at 19in, which puts me at the low end of an XL. The sleeve continually slid down the whole 5 miles, so I kept having to pull it back up. While it did help the pain, no amount of tightening kept it from sliding down. Recommend getting a size smaller if you're on the low end.

although i measured well as instructed, apparently my brace wasn't large enough. 30 minutes after applying it, my knee felt good but my foot had begun to swell massively. it was removed and return process begun. if you have foot or ankle swelling issues, better to buy size larger than stated or skip this one entirely.

I have lateral knee pain and osteoarthritis. I have seen doctors, physical therapists and had a cortisone injection.I began researching braces. This is my 4th brace ( i have returned others).This is a miracle. The velco strap provided the compression i needed to stop the lateral knee pain. I can play tennis and pickleball again…..

I didn't think I would be able to distance run again after IT Band Syndrome wrecked me in the NY Marathon many years ago. I decided to try for a half marathon and in my early training realized the issue with my knee was going to hinder my ability to do 13.1. I purchased this and it was an absolute game changer. Finished the half last weekend and ran even faster than I anticipated. No pain on the knee with this brace. Now I just need one for the other knee. :)

My leg measured 23” so I was right in the middle of the XXL. The top of the sleeve is super tight and kind of hurts. I’m sure it will really start hurting if I wore it all day. I like the idea of the strap at the top to keep it from rolling but this fits like a Large. On top of that, I received a used item with, what looks like, pet hair all over it. You get what you pay for here.

The material is soft but supports the knee issues firmly. In my case, it is applicable not only as a compression brace but also for the IT Band issues.
