A lot of features for a good price.
Good quality cooker for a reasonable price. The controls work well and I like the locking top. The thermometer is a nice touch.

Great slow cooker
Bought this and have used it several times. The thermometer functions great and will go into warm mode once the set temp is reached.Easy to clean and control. This is a great option for slow cookers!

Good cooker
I like this because it has a temp probe so you can monitor and change the temp to an exact temperature. The yogurt I make takes 36 hours, (so as not to kill off the L-Reuteri bacteria) and this works just fine. The lid clamps down sort of like a pressure cooker, and it is not heavy like a brick. Good product for the price.

Absolutely Love This Slow Cooker!
I couldn't be happier with my Hamilton Beach Portable 6-Quart Slow Cooker! The Set & Forget feature is a game-changer, allowing me to program my meals with ease and confidence. The digital controls make it super simple to use, and the locking lid ensures no spills soever. Your vegetables maintain their shape and crunchiness, while absorbing the combined flavors of your meal to create a most delicious palate. The 6-quart capacity is perfect for cooking large meals, and the dishwasher-safe crock & lid make cleanup effortless. The stainless steel design adds a sleek touch to my kitchen, and the cooking performance is excellent—meats come out tender and flavorful every time! And it doesn't require much liquid, for it seals in the juices and the evaporation. If you're looking for a reliable, easy-to-use, and high-quality slow cooker, this is the one. Highly recommend!

Hamilton Beach Model 33969AG failed after 8 months of use.
We purchased a Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker Model 33969AG on Apr 26, 2024. On December 25, 2024 the cooker failed to work. I took it apart and found that the solder joint between the main power cord and the circuit board was loose. I re-soldered the connection and the Slow Cooker works fine now.The solder joint failure was either caused by a poor quality solder joint or the solder joint got too hot during use which would be a design flaw.We generally like the slow cooker. It is easy to use. It has a wonderful thick ceramic pot that works well. I am disappointed in that is failed after 8 months.

Great slow cooker
Excellent product, used for a weekend dinner for the family and the majority of people praised the beef brisket and its delicious taste... also baked some chicken legs and they turned out superb.... I'll be slow cooking many meals in the near future. Two thumbs up

Works great and not too hot!
I purchased my original identical unit in 2015 and it is still going strong 7 years later. My mom's ancient rival crock pot died recently and she had replaced it with a new crock pot brand one from a local big box store. She complained that all of her recipes no longer worked as everything was cooking way too hot/fast, even on low. I bought her one of these and she is now happy again as things are back to how they were. An 8 hour on low roast recipe can go the full time and be at that 190 mark at the end with most of the time spent in the sweet spot. Because I remember mine giving off quite a smell when it was new, I washed this new one out thoroughly and then ran three batches of just water filled a little over halfway up. It did give off some smell from the manufacturing oil and maybe the silicone for the first two batches but then stopped completely after that. The high setting test resulted in a reading of 210 at the end of 4 hours and the low test came out to 195 at the end of 8. This doesn't just blast the temperature right away and boil the whole time like some of the competing brands have started doing I guess for safety reasons. I like that this unit still comes with a heavy removable crock which makes cleanup easy. I like the port hole in the lid as that allows me to use my accurate temperature probe while cooking larger cuts of meat like pork shoulder or roast. I recommend the chef alarm by thermoworks. I have never used the built in probe so I can't speak to that. The locking lid feature seems a bit flimsy to me but it has worked the couple times I used it. Remember not to store the unit or cook with the lid locked. It is only for transport. The silicone ring on the lid starts off pretty tacky and can be tricky to seat. After the first couple times using it though, that wears off and works great, creating a nice seal. The biggest annoyance for me is the beeps when turning it on or adjusting settings is a bit obnoxious and can't be disabled. Overall though, it cooks like a crock pot should (low and slow) and has held up so I recommend this one!

easy to use
the area never seems to get bigger in one of these things, but this one is nice because it has various temp options, various time options, and two warming options. this model also has a probe, which i haven't used yet, but expect to work perfectly because all the rest of it has.there are locking sides in case you have to travel with the crock (most of us will at one time or another) and there are easy-to-understand directions provided for operating the crock and cooking the food. mine came with a little recipe booklet as well.there are many crock pots out there with various abilities, but this one suits my needs just fine and i would recommend it for you as well.
