The Sunbeams are the strings I compare everything else to.
Been running Sunbeams 45-105 for about 6 months now on my Fender P-bass and more recently to my Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass and they sound out-of-this-world on both. I'm in a rock cover band and these strings resonate excellently in everything we do from Prince to Metallica. There's virtually no negatives with Sunbeams, great lows, bright mids and I love the tone. So far very durable and I play a lot. They're friendlier than steel to my fingers and frets. While I would still like to try some other strings, the Sunbeams have become my go-to strings that everything else gets compared to.

Some of The Nicest sounding Bass Strings
If your a Bass Player you know what these are. If you have not tried them you should. They're Great. Very nice sounding, easy on the fingers, they stay in tune. Pretty damned durable even with heavy playing.

Has that Rotosound round wound piano like tonal quality but does not go dead after a performance
I began using Rotosound round wound strings back in the 70s to get that Chris Squire style piano like tone. However a number of years ago I started finding quality problems, the details are not important. After an arduous search, I found that the DR HI-Beams were an excellent replacement for the Rotosound getting a simlar tone and they would literally last weeks rather than days. I tried using DR Sunbeams as a replacement for DR HI-Beams as a test for comfort since I was playing more than usual and the HI-Beams were tearing up my fingers. Well, let me tell you, the only difference I can tell is that the Sunbeams are a little less bright but also easier on my fingers. They also keep their tone for weeks even thought they loose the edge after a few gigs, easy enough compensate with a little boost (~1-2 dB) at about 800 & 1100 Hz. While there are LOTS of different opinions which bass strings to use and lots of different styles. But if you want that full piano like tone you get with a tight round wound string and do not want mud, you should definitely give the Sunbeams a try. I bet you will like them!

$$$$ but worth every penny.
Excellent strings. There are others that sound just as good but these feel the best under your fingers.

Sound great in the mix
I installed these on a custom-made Jazz style bass and they have a nice bright sound. They sounded a little too bright at first, but when I listened to them with a band they sounded great in the mix. Very good strings for a Jazz bass.

Nice tone.
Nice mellow sounding round wound strings, not your Getty Lee bright tone but a round clean tone and a bit nicer on the fingers.

Amazing tone and feel
I had decided to try Dr strings out and had decided on Hi beams. While they sounded great and had a nice bright piano tone, the stainless steel was a bit rough on my fingers and not the sound I was looking for. I decided to try the Sunbeams out and couldn't be happier! they sound great on my Ibanez Sr bass they sound full warm and fat yet they have enough brightness to give you great definition. The feel and playability is also great all the strings are well balanced and a pleasure to play. Overall im very happy with Dr strings both the Hi beams and Sunbeams have great quality and sound and I don't see myself going back to Daddario or Ernie ball strings anytime soon!

Buenas cuerdas

Great feel and tone! Great strings!
Had some flatwounds on my precision bass and was a bit reluctant of putting these on my bass but since I have another bass strung with flatwounds, I wanted to have a different tonal palate and feel to my PB and boy was I surprised. These strings are great. Yes they are roundwounds but they feel great, have a very good intonation, warmth and tone is versatile without being too bright or too dark. Just right.I will definitely be buying more of these in the future. Also, I'm a big fan of Adam Clayton and when I read he uses these, also made me want to try them and glad I did.
