UPDATE: Everything I wrote in the original review (where I gave 4 stars) is true. I'm updating to 5 stars because this bag held up very well for 5 years, and now that I'm finally looking to replace it (for style more than functional reasons) I'm happier than ever with the purchase.ORIGINAL REVIEW:This is a good bag for commuting to work - I usually bike 6-10 miles a day with it, and it's comfortable and solidly built.That being said, there are a number of small negatives that (even together) are not necessarily make-or-break. The zipper on the back pocket (the one that rests against your back) is oriented to be on the right side of the body when closed, which is the opposite of where it should be for the typical person who wears the bag on their left shoulder (because of this, the closed zipper is a pressure point for the wearer). The clips to close the bag are a little high up, meaning that it's hard to clip it tightly closed with the recommended triple-roll-down. The handle doesn't always stay centered which can make the bag awkward to carry as a briefcase. The bag squeaks a bit as you walk - though this is probably inevitable with its rubberized construction. Finally - and this has been brought up before - the bag is very shallow (~3 inches, can maybe stuff it to 4 in the center), so it doesn't fit as much as similar bags on the market.All this being said, the bag is definitely worth buying for most people. There's no other messenger bag of a similar price point that promises complete waterproofing (that I could find). Also, the light weight is a huge plus. I may have dedicated a lot of this review to nitpicking this bag's flaws, but I'm definitely happy that I made this purchase and plan on using this bag for a long time.As a final note, I have not tested this bag in heavy rain yet (though from the look of it it should be totally waterproof). I have also owned it for less than a month, and will update this review if it does not prove as durable as the manufacturer claims.

This is precisely what I was looking for. Very rugged design, guaranteed waterproof in regular use. Thick rubber, not likely to tear or wear. Great versatility and flexibility. I am always worried about water coming into the bag because the front flap or the zipper doesn't seal. Can't happen in this bag: The center bag is actually quite high, so once you put you items in, you roll it down can lock it down with side straps for extra security. Definitely water proof. Easy to carry, easy to adjust. The front straps have a good reach, so if your item is a tad bulky, no problem. If you are in the market for a messenger bag that will not let you down, this is it. Just in case you wonder, like I did: There is a webbed strap on the back of the bag, it serves to slide it over a suitcase handle so you don't have to worry about it falling of. As I said, very well designed! Highly recommend it.

I carry lots of paper around in a rainy climate, and this bag has been a lifesaver when walking around. There are two things to think about with this bag, though. First, it requires extra steps to open and close—more than a simple zip/unzip. Second, it smells like a rubber boat—so someone with chemical sensitivity might need to look elsewhere.

Bag is poorly designed. Really large bag, but due to design does not hold as much as you would think. My bag did not come with the removable device that is described.Probably would not purchase again.

Like the the bag, like the look. My experince is the outer compartments are not waterproof. I lost $100 worth of cords and blocks in the outer compartments. If they want to send me another bag to review i will put it through its paces.

At this price point I was not expecting something as nice as this dry bag.Well made and designed.

This is a great lightweight messenger. It could be designed with even easier access with magnetic closure vs. clips. The pockets on both sides and the luggage attach strap are nice features. Fits 15+ laptops. I agree w/other comments about the strap, the attachment should have options and not be tied to the overlap piece. With all these comments, it's still a great bag!

Well designed, well made, well priced. *****It works well for us on a sailing boat to keep navigation books etc. on deck. Keeps them nice & dry during showers.
