Gary Poppins Popcorn - Gourmet Handcrafted Flavored Popcorn - Caramel Cheddar (2oz) - 10 Pack

I used to order the Cheddar Cheese directly from Gary Poppins and the kernels when ordered directly from them were huge. I always wondered what they did with the small kernels. Well now I know, they put them in this bag. I ordered one bag and will not order another one. The popcorn is ok, but is supposed to be premium popcorn which this is not.

I was under the impression that the popcorn advertised on the bag resembled the actual product: full, fluffy popcorn thickly coated with delicious, nearly authentic caramel.I was wrong.The contents are pathetic by far: faintly brown-coated measly underdeveloped kernels and remnants of popcorn surrounded by hulls to boot!For this price, the subpar quality of this popcorn is unacceptable.The taste is mediocre and to imply any trace of an artisanal or organic quality borders on fraudulent.Don't waste your hard earned money on this criminally awful product.

I used to live in Evanston, where the first Gary Poppins store was located back in the day. So I am a die-hard fan of Gary Poppins from way back. The popcorn I used to buy in store from GP was hands down the best chicago style Ive ever tried, with a rich real cheesy taste and great caramel crunch. Then after moving away from Chicago the husband got me a tub of GP in the mail every year for Christmas and it continued to be amazing popcorn. We got out of the habit of ordering the tub, so I was thrilled to find the smaller bags on amazon.Boy was I disappointed when I tried it. This has none of the full taste of what I used to associate with GP, as though they are skimping on the quality and amount of flavoring they put on the popcorn. I will never order this again.

I've been on a quest for the best jalapeño cheddar cheese popcorn & this one is definitely the best I've tried. It's tangy, it's spicy & it's cheesy. The texture is not as crispy as others but that's because of all the cheese on it! Definitely not a diet popcorn, they are pretty hefty on the calories (for popcorn) bit that's ok by me; the lower cal stuff just tends to taste like extra salted popcorn. This definitely has the tang & kick I want from jalapeno cheddar.

We’ve ordered these a few times and really liked the first bag. The last one we got wasn’t very cheddar-y and the kernels weren’t fully popped. We really like the the jalapeño one and haven’t had any issues with those.

For the price, I would have expected consistency between bags. More than half of the bags (so far) have way more than half of the weight consisting of inedible kernels and a huge amount of bacon bits at the bottom - I get less than a handful of edible fluffy popcorn. Others are pretty good, with very little bacon bits included and very little inedible kernels. Flavor is good, though, very tasty. Won't buy again - seems such a waste of money. For the price, you should be able to eat the entire bag of popcorn every time.

This popcorn was like any other run of the mill popcorn at your local store. The Cheese has a funny flavor and the Caramel is just ok. I was hoping for it to taste like Garret's popcorn or at least be packed with good flavor but no this was just some weird cheesy and caramel disaster!
