Hot weather life saver
I'm down in Austin where the heat can just kill you for almost half the year. It isn't even August yet and we have had more then 40 days over 100 degrees. That can do terrible things to a pool. Mine is 30K gallons and 8ft deep. I have to add water to it about every three days, about 2-3 inches so that the pump keeps working. However, it is staying crystal clear, without any algae despite the temperature being over 80 in the water and the chlorine levels being almost nil. Why, this little beauty. I shock the water maybe once a week because you need to in order to trigger the copper. The copper kills the algae but isn't enough to hurt your pool chem levels. Our plaster is brand new and has no stains on it. I can attest to that! I've been using this product for 3 years now I think. I've never had one explode, break, etc. A brand new one may put out what looks like an inky blue dye. That is the copper and it is normal. Leave it in your filter! Keep running your filter. Make sure you but the right size and ALWAYS read the directions. The only thing I don't do that they suggest is I rinse my paper filter after a couple of days due to pressure dropping if I started with an algae issue and the filter is filthy. Think of the blue stuff like medicine. Let it work. It fades. It is making your water more blue and taking out the icky green stuff. As for any grit you may get, use a clarifyier, run your robot to suck it up and you're good to go. That grit is dead algae or charcoal dust. No harm done.

Works Amazingly - Definitely a Best Purchase
I have this product on every three month auto-delivery, which works perfectly for the max performance. These little filter looking cartridges pack an algae eliminating punch! I keep a tablet in my swim spa and added this to aid in summertime max algae season. I was impressed how this little thing can extend tablet life and even work on its own when initially installed. I can't explain how something so great and convenient can be so unknown and difficult to find! You will be happy you gave it a try!!!!

makes an enjoyable spa experience.
We have used this product for 7 yrs. We have been very happy with it until this fall when we got a defective one. It turned our water green and didn't work. I didn't find that out until after the time I could return it to Amazon so am out the money for it. I got another one locally and we are back to normal and enjoying the spa again. They are a great product when they work.

These work great. Less need for shock.
I used one in my hot tub this winter, and the larger version in my pool last fall, and both worked great. These lessen the reliance on chlorine shock. The product paid for itself with what I saved in chlorine, and if your chlorine ever goes through an extended low period, this really holds off the algae. This is part of my annual treatment now, I only wish I knew about them sooner.

Pool RX and Bromine dont mix
Works really well to maintain our spa with minimal effort. We had previously used chlorine, switched to Bromine. But please note this item and Bromine do not play well together- the smell is unbearable. we ended up draining our spa in order to use this item correctly.

You'll never find a better algaecide anywhere. I know this because I'm a pool service tech.
Hands down the best product for the money. Everyone with a pool should have one. Especially if they are fighting algae in their pool.

Did not work!!!
I actually got two of these and tried it twice. It seemed to cause what it claimed to get rid of. Complete waste of time and money.

Good price
As advertised, cheaper and easier than a trip to the spa store.
