Great drive supports Libredrive firmware for MakeMKV!
Great drive for ripping and backing up or media server your movies with. Supports Libredrive firmware for MakeMKV so you can region-free rip at full speed. Doesn't work with 100% of movie discs, but I would say a good 99% of them. Also supports M-Disc record-able blu ray discs, I haven't used that function just due to how much the discs cost, but it also burns CD and DVDs well.

Working good so far. No complaints.
Working as expected. So far no issues, although I haven't put it through a battery of tests, just basic playing and ripping. Haven't tried burning yet and probably won't for a while.

Asus, a name you can trust.
The last computer I build with an Asus disk drive was over ten years ago and it still works flawlessly to this day. I purchased this one to put in my wife's new computer and the quality is just as good as it's always been. Easy to install, opens, closes, reads, and copies fast, quiet, and reliable. I fully expect this one to perform just as long and well as my original (which I still have and use regularly).

ASUS successfully burned 25GB and 100GB, M-archival discs on Windows 10, 64 bit desktop computer
ASUS Blu Ray burner works on the following: Windows 10, 64 bit....Power2Go software (by Cyberlink) is the software included with the burner. Successfully burned a 25GB and 100GB Verbatim M-archival disc. The Power2Go software is standalone and does not need internet connection. The S/W is easy to use. 25GB M-disc took about 30 min to burn and the 100 GB M-disc took about 1.5 hours.

Bought to burn hdd backups to blue-ray as it holds more.
I have been backing up our computers to DVD and external drives. That takes a lot of DVD disks. I am moving all those backups from DVD to Blue-ray to save space. I also save photos and downloads for computer to them. It is so nice to be able to put 25gb. on one disc instead of just 4.25gb. Happy days. This is a lovely drive and also have an Asus DVD burner that we've had for many years. If burning blue-ray in Nero you need to connect to the internet to be able to burn to them. A small price to pay for more room. We don't trust the cloud, we are old fashioned.
