after going through a couple of whal mustache trimmers and finding them difficult to use i assumed that all trimmers were about the same and fell back onto the 19th century mustache scissors to trim my mustache. i finally got curious enough after a couple of years to see if technology had advanced enough to trim a mans mustache. also scissors really arent good for shaping your mustache into something other then a basic look. i took a chance based on a review and purchased a Andis fixed blade cordless BTF trimmer. it was a few dollars more then its comparable counterparts but like my daddy always said " you get what you pay for ". it turned out to be a good decision. the Andis BTF is a great all around trimmer. it comes with a good variety of attachments that are very easy to use and will do everything from trimming a smokey mountains chest length beard down to a great miami vice 3 day growth look. im not into beards but i love what it does for my mustache. the nicad battery cannot be overcharged and lasts long enough between charges to go on a two week vacation on a deserted island. it is great for highly detailed patterns and does it without any pulling or real skill. if you follow the attachment instructions for your use you will love it. it is also compatable with overseas voltages by just flipping a switch which is important for all you jetsetters. it is also good for eyebrows and neck trimming. it comes with a nice travel bag for convenience. the only drawback is that it does not sit in a recharge stand.

So far so good. My package showed up in a timely manor and When I open the box the trimmers were intact. I had went to a Sally store recently to purchases some trimmers by Andis for my 9 yr. old son to keep his edges nice and clean between his barber visits. I paid $42 and some change for them. Something told me to look on Amazon to see if I could find them for a cheaper price. Well I did and they were almost the same. The only difference is that the ones from Sally came with a charging port as to where these just come with the charging cord. Which is no biggie to me for the simple fact that it still being charged and I will still be able to use them for the same purpose. One over The Sally's trimmers I had bought is that with these trimmers came a storage bag to store all the guards, charging cord, comb, and trimmer oil that came along with it. I have pretty course hair on my head and face and put my hopes in an Andis product hoping it would be powerful enough to tackle my whisky hairs. Knowing this isnt the most powerful trimmer I did not have high expectations. Needless to say for the first couple of weeks after purchasing the item it got the job done. close shave but not too close ya know? any way after a couple of weeks of every other day use I noticed the motor began to struggle after just a couple minutes of use. This was even after a full night of charging btw. From this point on the issues only got worse. The trimmer would refuse to turn on at times or simply die slowly after a minute of the motor running. I keep the trimmers clean and store it in a safe dry place yet it coninually gives me issues. As of this point the trimmer is officailly dead and refuses to turn on even after charging and showing a green power light when plugged in. I have to say I'm very disappointed and unsure of what product to purchase next. Thinking Andis was somewhat top of the line I was sure that I purchased an above average trimmer. Guess not :-/

I am a licensed cosmetologist. So I will start by saying this product is nowhere near as good as a salon quality trimmer / edger. It doesn't get very close which make is going around the ears and edging the back of the neck difficult . But it works fine for trimmer over comb, doesn't seem to get stuck or lose power when going fast.But for an at-home trimmer for someone who is not a hairdresser this trimmer works fine, and I thought it was a good value

"Dual voltage charger for worldwide use" - unlike the chargers for my laptop, phone, and tablet; which can all safely be connected to 100 to 240 volts; the Andis 22725 requires you *manually* choose the power input. Picking the wrong option permanently fries the charger. This is exactly the kind of decision/mistake you don't want to make when jet-lagged/traveling, or simply when tired and shaving in early morning. It's a significant usability failure, especially when the Andis charger is also quite bulky compared to those for other devices.That aside, the "raw" trimmer works, and it's cheap.I don't use the attachments, so I haven't experienced the problems some other reviewers reported. I also haven't owned an Andis 22725 long enough to comment on battery life.

Great Clippers, have now lasted me two years and I couldn't be happier. the battery life is too good. Ibarely have to charge them still and I use them every other day. I also travel a lot and they have treated me exceptionally well. My only complaint is that I can't zero-gap them. So I had to buy another pair of clippers specifically for that.
