Eufy is a good product.

I bought this camera at a premium rate compared to other vendors selling same brand cameras because it said it’s battery operated when in fact it isn’t battery operated. Will be returning this back

Product details mentioned that this is battery powered camera! But its not!! Don't have battery and works only by wired!!!

Bought 2 cameras in January 2024 but after 2 months both cameras started to go offline which is very frustrating when you are travelling and don’t have anyone to restart the devices. The manufacturers don’t want to do anything about it and I have been searching the Amazon site to write back to see if there is a way to contact the sellers.

I've been using these for a few years now. We have them at our second home to monitor both indoors and outdoors. We have a couple sitting on window sills looking out as well as a couple in the house covering living space. These have been running near 24/7 since we bought them back in early/mid 2021. These replaced a different brand that were clunky and hard to use. The PTZ is great allowing us to view larger areas with a single camera. The picture quality is great. The response from the camera is good when controlling it remotely. The Internet connection for our house in the woods is spotty, at best, as it's just a cellular hotspot with low bars. Again, it's a house in the woods! But even with that very low bandwidth connection, the cameras serve their purpose. We actually started with two and were immediately impressed with the quality, usability, and price point that we bought 3 more. We kept one at our primary residence that we will fire up when we leave to monitor the pets while we are gone. The PTZ allows us to scan the room to find where they are laying down, etc so we know they are safe and doing well. :-) I have also recommended them to family/friends with no issues or complaints from them. Very nice cameras for easy remote monitoring and have held up with constant use for many years.

Great little cameras. Can be operated remotely. Awesome for placement in any area you want to monitor. If you will be gone, you can log on remotely and "look around" if you'd like. They have an onboard micro SD (not included) that any movement is recorded on, so if there were any incident, it would capture. Great for peace of mind. You also have the option to "speak" through the microphone on the camera, if wanted. Added benefit, there is no monthly fee.

Cameras arrived on time and well package. I downloaded the app, the instructions were straight forward and easy to understand. And in less then 5 minutes the cameras were online. My only issue is that I wish I get a notification when the cameras get tempered with. For instance: unplugged or power outage, forcefully moved or rotated. I would still buy these cameras in the the future simply because they do their jobs of securing my home. Video quality is 4.5, sound/mic is 4, notification timing is 4.5, installation level is 5, price is 5, max micro sd card size supported is 3.5 (128GB), security is 4.5. And overall I still give it a 5 star

No matter where you happen to be in the world, the Eufy system as a whole is brilliant. I am not that guy that writes a review after having the product for less than a month. I am that guy that gives you the good, the bad and the ugly. But only after I have used the product for eight months or more. In this case I have been useing the Eufy systems for years. NOt only here in the United States but in my home in Costa Rica. So hold on to your seat and I will tell you the real deal. The Eufy system has given me live updates and recorded events in both locations and the updates are in real time and recordings are stored on a local drive or mini SD card. Last year while I was in the USA one of the security guards responsible for the safeguard of the community where my home is located in Costa Rica was lounging pool side in my backyard. He was so bold that he even had his girlfriend with him. Unbeknownst to this security guard and his romantic companion the Eufy system records even at night. Their conversation which was in Spanish was recorded and the last thing she said before their departure was "don't forget the towel" The next day I forwarded the video to the owner of the security company and lets just say that security guard is no longer gainfully employed. I also use two different Eufy smart locks and I have some ugly news about one of those locks. But I will write a review about both locks in the near furture. But for suer the Eufy system is great and it is a one time cost and not once has it failed.

I’ve had these cameras (bought somewhere else) for a few years. I decided to buy some more just recently. Set up took me a while but after moving locations it set up very easily. For some unknown reason when I was setting up at a different area in my house, the camera would not connect to Bluetooth and I kept getting error messages. Likes- I can store recordings locally, no costly subscriptions. With that said, because recordings are not stored in the cloud, once the camera goes offline (plugged out etc…) you have no recordings saved so if you’re going to use this for security, you should use cloud storage so a robber can’t plug out your camera and you lose your recordings. I plan to use it for my dog so it’s not a big deal to store locally. I do like that I have the option to store on the cloud for a fee. I don’t like their fees as it can cost your more than Nest. $39.99 for the year per camera or $139.99 for the year for unlimited Cameras. Nest is less than that for all the cameras you have in your house. Nest only gets expensive if you have multiple homes on your account. Then the fee is per home. Eufy doesn’t say if the fee for unlimited cameras only covers 1 home location or if it covers all your cameras regardless of home location. I like this is a good camera for babies and pets. Great setting options to tweak your camera how you want it set up. Pic and mic quality good. I like that I can speak through the camera. I like that I can pan and tilt the camera unlike nest cameras. Cost of camera is fair. 2 for $90+ Canadian (plus micro SD cards for local storage) Dislikes- sometimes it seems to not catch everything (nest does that too) I don’t know why so I would not say they’re 100% reliable, but then again, not even my more expensive nest cameras is either. I also really dislike that I can’t just click on the home location and see a live feed of all my cameras at once (like nest does) to get a quick peek into each location/room. If I have 4 cameras, I have to click into every camera to check live feed. Thats my biggest pet peeve with this camera app. If the app could fix this I would give it 5 stars. Dislike- I believe they’re about to discontinue this model and replace with the newer version out. Based on reviews written on some websites, this is the best camera version compared to the newer one. For the price, (it’s on sale) you can’t beat it, esp if you’re just wanting to monitor your pets or baby. *to monitor a small/short pet, you have to place on the floor or very low to be able to catch the dog or mount on ceiling. For bigger pets you can place it higher on a table if you don’t want to mount it. Update: as I previously said, I have had this model for years before purchasing 2 more. It was a pretty good camera system for the price UNTIL they updated the cameras (you can’t turn off camera auto update) and the app. For some unknown reason companies like to change things if it’s not broken and then break it. My camera lens no longer rotates and retracts into the housing when turned off. I wrote them about this and they acknowledged the issue from other owners too but I’m still waiting for a fix. Right now, esp if you store recordings on the cloud, I would not trust the privacy of this camera. My camera sometimes rotates and points the lens up and appears to be off (I don’t see any picture on my screen) but I can’t say I really trust it to be off when not in use. They need to fix this issue. If you want true “privacy” plug it out when not in use which is a piss poor work around. As for motion detection, if I turn on tracking and it detects motion it moves but then proceeds to shift the camera lens side up side for a minute or 2 before going back to the default position I set up. You lose control of the camera and footage. Turning tracking on and off or even decreasing sensitivity to lowest level does nothing to stop the issue. Only way to stop it is to turn it off, so now I lose motion tracking. This was never an issue when I first had these cameras years ago. These camera updates should not be forced on owners esp if they “break” the camera. My last issue I have is live feed. I leave my camera running on my dog in the nights and so far every night the feed stops and they way you know it stops is the the timer stops. At first glance everything looks fine, but when you look at the timer and it’s stopped, you realize the pic you’re seeing is NOT live but a still of old footage. I would NEVER recommend using this with a baby. It is NOT RELIABLE to use for monitoring your baby. EUFY (Anker) needs to stop marketing this for use with babies because it’s NOT SAFE. If you use it with your baby to watch live feed it WILL freeze up and you won’t know. You will think your baby is fine at first glance until you realize the time stamp has stopped and you’re actually looking at old footage. There is no pop up warning. (They do have the capability to do that as that warning occurs with a retry live feed message every so often when EUFY detects a problem- the thing is it’s not always detecting an issue with the feed). The updates ruined the cameras and Eufy (Anker) knows as they acknowledged ithers have reported issues since the updates. Anker took a perfectly good camera and ruined it with these updates and no timeline for a fix. Before the update, my cameras were perfect for use indoors. I preferred them to the Nest which I also have. No longer a reliable system for monitoring pets or babies.
