The Gator 390 is a chiclet-box-sized light that packs a punch well above its inexpensive weight class. Its no Niterider Lumina, but then again its price is a small fraction of one so you can expect some - livable - compromises. Unfortunately the version 1 mount, which was well thought-out, was susceptible to breakage thanks to the kind of plastic they used. This v2 mount is essentially a thick rubber band and it works fine. Definitely more survivable than the original and low cost as well. I have used similar band-type mounts from Blitzu for their various Cyborg bar mount lights and they are just about as good as it gets for band mounts. Of the half dozen I have, none have ever broken and I ride in hot sun and freezing cold, rain or shine. However as others have noted it can slip a bit. Now, one of the nice things about the Gator 390 is its so small and lightweight. As such it doesn't want to move anywhere near as much as your typical, heavier light that contains an 18650 cell inside for a battery. So it doesn't need to be as sturdy. However, if you want to solidify the mount for next to nothing, just get a bit of silicone sealing tape and wrap a layer around your bars where the mount is going. Wrap the mount over that bit of silicone tape and it gives enough extra grab to make the light rock solid.

Bike got nabbed with the bracket on it but not the light. Really appreciate (in this culture of expendable, wasteful consumerism) that I was able to simply purchase the bracket as a separate piece, rather than a whole new light package. Saving the extra money was nice but more importantly, now I don't have an extra light with nothing to mount it on sitting around cluttering my home or the landfill. I really like this mount, it fit my old flash light, easy to mount it

Bought this for my Blitzu Cyborg 168T bike light. The original bracket it came with did not fit on my aero-style bike seat post. This one took a good stretch to get it to fit, but it did fit. Glad I can use my new light!

Bought this because my old plastic mount broke. Ladder straps are OK for light weight running lights, but they look sloppy and are not as robust as the older screw on plastic mount previously sold with this light. Had to cut off some of the excess strap because it was blocking the light! Still looking for the older mount.
