Smart Funnel (Gray)

I’ve spent my life propping up shampoo and dishwashing liquid bottle to get everything I can from the containers, with some messy fails. I didn’t know something like this existed, and don’t even know how I came upon it, and it does the trick. I still place bottles in corners for extra security, but so far, by doing that, none have tipped over. The construction does seem a bit flimsy and prone to breakage, so I’m not sure how long it will last.

These smart funnels are great! I bought a pack of two and use one for food-related items and one for non-food. The first test was with pump-bottles of body wash. You can never get the bottom half inch out of the bottle with the pump and trying to get it out of the bottle with the cap off just takes forever. So I clamped the funnel to a lightly used bottle of body wash (so it won't overflow) and clamped the other bottle with the half in of body wash left in it, upside down on top. A few hours later, the top bottle was completely drained into the bottom one.As far as kitchen use, be more mindful of what you try to consolidate. Mayonnaise for instance is a no-go. It's too thick and won't sink through the funnel. So use it for less thick substances; Thinner salad dressings (don't even start with the ranch!), yellow mustard (not whole grain mustards), honey.Overall, I wish I would have gotten some more before xmas for stocking stuffers, since they are definitely worth getting. Very useful!

This is hands down the best funnel I’ve ever used!

I use this to mainly refill soap bottles. This is so much easier than trying to pour from a bulky refill size to a smaller sink soap dispenser. I also use this to get the last of the shampoo or hand lotion out of a bottle. Very good quality for the price. This funnel did not get thrown into my junk drawer!

I keep lotion within reach at all times. Around the house, I prefer to use decorative ceramic lotion bottles rather than the manufacturer’s bottle. I prefer Vaseline Intensive Care lotion, which is pretty thick, and it has proved difficult to transfer to the decorative bottles.I’ve tried just pumping the lotion into the receiving bottle, and this takes forever and a day. Then I tried warming the bottle of lotion to thin it so it would pour easier, but this didn’t work as well as I had hoped. Then for years, I squeezed a bunch of lotion into a gallon size Ziploc bag, snipped a corner off and used it to fill the ceramic bottles. This worked, but it was tedious, messy, and wasted a bunch of lotion left inside the bag.Then I found the Smart Funnel and bought it from Amazon. This works, but again the lotion is too thick to easily flow through it. While I wouldn’t mind propping the manufacturer bottle atop the ceramic bottle and leaving it to pour for a day or so, that runs the risk of overflowing the lotion onto the counter, making a mess and wasting good lotion. The Smart Funnel is not ideal for a thick substance like the lotion I use, but you can either warm the lotion to thin it, or ‘babysit’ the transfer and poke it through the funnel with a straw or something similar.What the Smart Funnel has been great for is my shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap. I like these big bottles of Pantene shampoo and conditioner that have pumps in them, but they are hard to find. Now that I have a pair, I’ve used the Smart Funnel to empty a regular bottle into my pump bottle. Both Pantene shampoo and conditioner have worked very well for this.I also keep liquid hand soap in decorative dispensers by all of the sinks. This isn’t so hard to pour in normally, but when the refill bottle is nearly empty, it can take a while to get those last drops out unless you are willing to just dispose of it. With the Smart Funnel, I can set the nearly empty bottle over one of my dispensers and get almost every drop of soap out.This funnel may or may not work for you. You need to determine how thick the substance you want to transfer is and also how much time you are willing to put into watching the process or fiddling with it. It doesn’t work as well for lotion as I had hoped, but I think it is an improvement over other processes I’ve tried, so I am glad I bought it.

I have had and used these for decades! They are the most marvelou little gadget ever. You have no idea how much liquid product you throw away every year until you start using these. I suggest buying 2 - mark one 'NON-FOOD' and leave the other one alone. this way you do not end up with soapy tasting food. When I started using them, they were only available in white. Get 2 different colors, one for food and one for non-food.

It works well but it is very easy to knock off a bottle. I does not grasp the bottle well

Very simple and functional. Works a treat and we have found it will fit any type of bottle
