Blockchain Applications: A Hands-On Approach [Bahga, Arshdeep, Madisetti, Vijay] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Blockchain Applications: A Hands-On Approach Review: A great First Book for Application Patterns - This was the first technical book I read on Etherium Blockchain Dapps. They have a diverse collection of use-cases which is great to see, and example implementations. The authors have made their code run, so the examples are not hypothetical. That said, I consider the example code illustrative of writing applications, not best-of-breed implementation (although they do provide guidance on ordering of logic in a Contract to avoid re-entrancy problems). Awaiting the world is a book that will deal with best design practices, security, and edge-case. Until then, this book will give a solid feel (pun intended) for Solidity. The authors also provide guidance for setting up the various systems in order to actually do development and deploy. That said, the instructions are cursory, but given the main focus of the book on Applications, this is acceptable and to be expected. Review: Book explaining the future technology is here. Technology is still in the future, though. - I like it, because it gives what authors claim "working" examples. Only imagine, Ethereum is not here yet, all these technology is no more than a a huge (but very promising) bubble, yet, there is already book that explains it all with working examples that you can just copy & paste and make your millions riding the wave. Can you? Still, just because it's actually a code, not pure hype - it's a good book.

Great example filled text
The authors have clearly thought this through. Not only do they present the reader with common use cases and design patterns for the application of blockchain tech to solve problems, they present working code. While the code is not linked to any repo (as far as I can tell), the examples are simple and clear enough to copy by hand and get them running. Recommended!

Well nice to have everything about Etherum in a book
Well nice to have everything about Etherum in a book, in one place. But... once you start reading in the internet you will find it all but in different places. This technology is community developed so book becomes obsolete after 3 moths. Especially so overpriced like this one.

Just start here. By page 35 I realized I'd been overthinking it. Within an hour had written by first functional smart contract
This book is by far the best book on Ethereum (uh, blockchain) I've read so far. No other book or on-line course has helped me execute more rapidly, nor has any other resource helped me really understand what's going on under the covers. It's like the Stevens' "TCP/IP Illustrated" books for blockchain

The best all-around book on the topic.
Excellent book describing blockchain applications in detail. You'll thoroughly understand what is normally a very complex topic. Here it is explained in layman's terms so that you can understand the topic. Highly recommend it.

It was as advertised.
It was informative and practical, but there was no supplemental material.

When I got the book, I got astonished at what the book has to offer. The first impression is excellent as it is full of examples, images, and explanation. So, does it gives you what it promises? Let's find out. Who is this book for? The book is aimed at students and professionals. Anyone interested in learning about blockchain technology and hands-on experience can benefit from the book. All the code is made available online which makes it easier to work with. Who should not get this book? The book is not for those who are looking for theoretical explanation. It covers some aspects in theory but quickly jumps to the practical aspects with code. Key topics discussed in the book dApps Smart contracts Solidity - The programming language used to develop dApps and smart contracts Mining Whisper protocol and Swarm It also covers advanced topics on the blockchain. Overall, it is a good read for me, and I would recommend the book to anyone who wants hands-on experience with blockchain technology.

Kaufempfehlung!

This book is very useful book for applications. Various examples about applications are described in this book, I'm very interested in reading pages. I especially referred to many blockchain networks for various purpose.
