For those of you that have used the mousse and gel separately, which one gave the best result?

The Mousse Hands Down!!! If you have should length or longer hair, you need the mousse. I did not like the gel at all! The gel could be used to spike very short hair.

Do you have to use a blow dryer with this for it to work?

It works with out blow drying but works much better with a blow dryer. Just use on your roots. There are some good utube videos on how to use root pump. I love all the big sexy hair products

Has anyone just air dried their hair with this product? Does it still give volume?

If applied on dry hair, it doesn't give the same volume as if you blow your hair dry. What I noticed is that if I apply this product on my hair and let it air dry, my hair feels sort of "crisp," and I have to brush or comb through it to give it the "boost" that is promised. I hope this helps!

Does this 'red' container replace the green boottle ??

I love it, I have super fine hair and this really "pumps it up".
