Huge upgrade to 1/4 inch instrument cable

I got 2 of these for my bass rig.. to save a lil $ vs name brand items from the likes of musicians friend/Sweetwater, etc.my first impression was that they felt cheap. I had trouble getting them to stay connected. When they did I didn’t hear that satisfying click sound that let’s you know they’ve locked in position and are solid.. instead I had to give them a little twist and tug to make sure they were good.As far as sound quality and all that, they seem to work fine.I don’t have high hopes for their longevity given their difficulty connecting, cheap materials, and the frequency in which I’ll be moving my cabs from gigs to rehearsals.I’ll prob end up buying the real thing from a music store.

This cable felt kind of cheap. I'm often ok with that -- I'm a budget shopper, and many times the cheap things work fine and the fancy things are overkill. In this case, though, this was not a good product. The cable I got was not assembled well, and sometimes it just wouldn't work. I often I had to fuss with the plug to get a connection. I returned it and got this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XT3NJDB. That is MUCH better quality! 12 gauge is definitely overkill for a 3 ft cable, but the plugs feel much more solid and their latching mechanism is much smoother. Most importantly, it reliably conducts electricity from my amp to my cabinet. :)
