Newport Pet Crate End Table (24" H, Espresso)

I got this to obviously save some space in my apartment by combining end table & dog crate into a functioning and stylish piece of furniture and this item does just that. It's very cute and very sturdy. I love it as a table. As for a crate, I still love it and it works just fine for my dog (the cats love to curl up in it, too!) but I do have a couple complaints that aren't major but should be pointed out for future buyers:1. The door has a very nice latch that is stylish and functional. However, the design for the hinges is absurd. There is a metal pin and a tiny spring that go into a hole. This spring and pin are a pain to try to apply and then when I finally got it the way it should be, the hole was drilled too deep and the pin went too far inside. Needless to say, it wasn't going to work, but honestly I don't think that hinge system would work for a dog that might push against the door anyway. However, I simply spent a few more dollars and bought tiny classic screw-in hinges and drilled them in myself. Now the door is sturdy and it still looks great. :)2. I have a Jack Russel & Havanese mix that isn't very large and can easily lay down in this crate comfortably with no complaints. However, I do feel bad if he has to be in the crate for an extended period of time because I feel it should be at least a couple inches wider. Like I said, he doesn't seem to mind and the cats love it (it's perfect for a cat and I'm probably going to buy another just for them) but I would like him to have a bit more room. I bought the medium size thinking it would be big enough (the large seemed too big). This crate is JUST big enough for him. So if you have more than one dog, I would get more than one of these. However, I do think it can hold two adult cats comfortably (as long as they like to curl up with each other, that is!)Like I said before, overall my complaints are minor. If the hinge thing wasn't such a cheap and easy fix, I would probably be more upset about that, but maybe the hinge system can work for someone else. Just wasn't going to fly for me. Even with that problem, I'm seriously considering purchasing another so I can have another at the other side of the sofa for the cats. It looks very nice as an end table and a matching pair would be nice. It has a very nice finish and large table space. I also love that it has wheels for easy moving (and saves my hardwood floors!).The best part is that it was incredibly easy for me to put together on my own and seems like it will be easy to clean.Overall, I would certainly recommend this item for anyone that needs a dog or cat crate but maybe doesn't want something like that taking up space. This gives your dog crate a nice look and a dual purpose! It can be an end table or even a nightstand...or just a stylish dog crate. :)

This little crate end table went together with no problem. I didn't have any issues with holes and pegs lining up. It's a substantial piece. The only criticism I have is that when it was all put together, a very thin (less than 1/32 of an inch) line of unfinished wood was peeking out across the bottom above the framework on one side. It can probably be corrected rather easily, however, with a little furniture crayon or a tiny bit of stain. It wasn't a big deal for us as the table is situated in an area where that side doesn't show. Otherwise, it's an attractive piece. For the price, it was a good purchase. One note: the door only opens one way and can't be changed; the hinges are on the right.

Lovely pet crate that is difficult to distinguish from a high end side table. Love the look, and my pet feels right at home inside. A little time consuming to assemble, worth the effort.

This dog crate is everything I hoped it would be. Came very well packaged with no damage 👏. It was super easy to assemble. So much nicer than the metal crates. Best of all my two pups love it. They snuggle up together and never make a sound til morning. I used a standard sized pillow and blanket for the bedding and it fit perfectly in the medium sized crate. My dogs are small a Bugg (20 lbs) and a Chaweenie (17 lbs)

Unless the dog is in it making noise, nobody realizes it's a crate. They just think it's an endtable. It's very well constructed and comfortable for her. She doesn't mind sleeping in it at all. I would not recommend it for a large dog who isn't already crate trained though. They could chew through the bars or force the latch off the gate. My cocker spaniel has been in hers for 2 months without any damage done though.

Just got mine in and put it all together. Not too happy with the quality. I guess I expected a bit better for the price. I was actually a bit worried that I’d break the walls while putting them together. As I was screwing in the screws, two were already stripped and I am very careful when I do this process. So, I was not too happy about that. Also, when I have to close the door, the latch and the door itself isn’t well made. So, I have to lift it up and jingle the latch a bit to latch it. I don’t expect this to last very long at all

This Crate end table is well made and very classy looking compared to the wire crate. It is a nice addition to my living room. It was easy to put together and only took about 20 minutes to set up. My dog, Frode, loves his man cave and I often find him in there in the evening when I am busy and my lap is not available to him. I did not put the door on so that he has free access for coming and going. This product was well worth the cost and I have had a number of compliments on how nice it looks in my space. Overall an excellent buy.

We've had this now almost 2 years and its holding up well. Looks great. Most people that come over don't even realize its a dog crate until you tell them. We use it as an end table between our couches with a small table lamp on top. It looks great and really isn't much more than a standard wire dog crate. Our Cocker Spaniel has tried to escape at so I changed the hook to a spring type thats not as easy to open. and he has chewed on the bars. But even considering that, its still great deal. Some assembly required (think Ikea furniture) but not bad.
