The information states the shoe comes in "red" however per the display it looks more like a burgandy brown. Is the color as shown?

It’s definitely more of a wine color. Could not wear these with a true red. Really pretty though! And beyond comfortable

I wear a solid 8.5, is the 9 going to be too big for me??

I wear a size 6 and they fit perfectly.... But I have small narrow feet. If you normally need a little more room in the toe area you may want to go up that 1/2 size. These shoes are a little more narrow because they come in to form somewhat of a point.
