St. Martin's Press Being Elizabeth

Loved this book. I read all three Ravenscar dynasty books. I loved the historic influence. It gave an insight into how people lived. I was amazed that the rich of many decades ago lived better and more privaliged than alot of people do now. I loved the way we learned about all the family during the long years the stories spaned. I found myself wanting to know more and trying to read faster thirsty for the information.

She is a great writer. Have read several (lots) of her books and enjoyed every one of them

I love Barbara Taylor Bradford books. They contain descriptions of the time period in which each story takes place. While reading engrossing stories, you'll also learn about politics, architecture, fashion, food, customs. The books literally take one away to another place and time. Who doesn't need a bit of an escape right now? "Being Elizabeth", the final book in the Ravenscar series, will help you make you get away!

Barbara Taylor Bradford continues her saga of the Deravenel family which brings us from the past to modern day England. These stories are satisfying when read individually but are even richer if you take the time to read them all. Strong, independent women of this family makes them interesting reading. Family ties, enemies from within and without are challenges these women face and survive. Mystery and romance aleo abound. A very satisfying read.

I purchased this book for my mother and cannot say I've read it myself, as romance novels really aren't my preference. What I do know, is my mother absolutely loved the book, and the whole Ravenscar trilogy of books, and has recommended them to her friends and to other family members.
