Off the bat, I have a question... if we're searching for trousers with drawstring waists, why are they all, without fail, elasticated? It's annoying. There's literally no need for elastic in the waist in drawstring trousers; the drawstring does the work of keeping the pants up. I'd have given five stars otherwise.Now that I've made my point, I can talk about these particular pants. They're lovely, and everything you want in a cotton/linen blend: breathable, light, comfortable. And that pesky elastic can be easily removed with a little ingenuity. It's tacked down in at least three places: twice at the side seams, and once at the rear seam. Simply take a seam ripper, get your best pair of magnifiers and some good lighting, and pick those tacking stitches out, being careful not to accidentally undo anything structural to the pants. Then, fish a loop of elastic out through one of the drawstring holes, cut the loop, grab an end, and pull it out. Tip: hold onto the drawstring itself so it doesn't slide out along with the elastic.On to the sizing: I'm a classic hourglass lady. Think Marilyn Monroe. Tig ol biddies, small waist, and full hips and thighs. Finding pants that fit both my waist and my hips is a challenge, hence the search for *true drawstring pants*--an hourglass silhouette's dream come true. I am 5'6" and an athletic 165 lbs, 39-30-42. I bought the XL size because I know cotton can shrink as much as 5%, and linen can even go as much as 10%, which is insane. I had no idea if these were preshrunk (and given the price, assumed not), so I wanted to err on the side of caution... I am an unfussy person and wanted to be able to wash and dry these pants with my regular laundry (cold wash, machine dry low heat). Having done so once, I can report that they did, indeed, shrink. They're noticeably shorter, but they were CRAZY long on me before washing - to the tune of at least 6 inches - but now, if I choose to hem them, I might only take 2 inches. Also, after shrinking, I still have lots of room through the hips... which makes me think I could have gone with size L. I'll still keep them, even though they're a touch big; but I do want to order in other colors and sizes, so I'll try an L next and see what happens.Appearance: just really nice-looking, summery pants! I love them. I bought them in white, and I was expecting lots of sheerness... but no, they're pretty good in that respect. All white things are going to have some amount of show-through, but these are probably the least sheer I've ever had. There are pockets, which I know some ladies think is awesome, but I am in the anti-pockets camp... wait, hear me out! When you have full hips like me, pockets can be unflattering. These aren't too bad; at least they're square. (Rounded pockets are THE WORST.) The added bulk can be minimized by giving them a good ironing... did I mention I'm unfussy? :o| However, in this instance, I'll make an exception, because ironed linen pants with just a touch of starch really looks sharp with a breezy, flowy top while having waterfront cocktails or a sunset walk on the boardwalk after dinner.Overall, I really do like them, and can recommend... and I do like that I was able to easily modify them.

At first I was excited about these pants but after sitting in them for a minute I think I might have to return. They were very wrinkled right out of the bag but I figured that was normal and that those would come out after wearing them for a bit. However, I noticed that they became much more wrinkled after sitting in them. I tried adjusting them in different ways and changing my posture but I wasn't able to figure out a way to sit without wrinkling them. I know the pants are a linen mix so some wrinkling is to be expected but these just made me look disheveled.Extra details: I ordered the khaki color and I would say that the actual product appears significantly darker and a little more yellow in person. My waist is 26 inches and I'm often in-between XS and a S, so I ordered a Small just to be on the safe side. They were definitely a little big but still wearable, but if you're unsure I would consider sizing down. The length is great (I'm 5'6" and wear a 'Tall' in jeans) and I love the pockets! I tried them on while wearing bright red underwear and they weren't even remotely sheer which was great!

I purchased the Navy in size M. I'm 5'4" 160 lbs and I'm all legs. I'm short waisted and wear a 32" inseam. The pants are long enough for me to wear a 2" heel. The Navy color is not a deep navy, but more of a soft, faded navy. The M isn't baggy on me like a beach pant; fits more like a trouser. I'm very impressed with these. I intend to only dry clean to keep the awesome fit. Will be buying more colors. I knocked off a star due to color. Would have preferred a more deep navy blue.

Great color and fit but the draw string is very short on this color (light green - at least the pair I got) and gets lost inside in the laundry and even just going to the rr. Also have to roll them at the waist. Perfect length other than that. Roomy in the leg without being too baggy. I also have grey, blue, tan, and black will arrive Saturday. I obviously like them a lot!

I expected these may shrink so when they were way too long at first, I wasn’t too concerned. One wash did the trick. I am only 5”1’ and they fit perfectly now. I mostly wear them for bed or gardening because they look too much like scrubs to wear for shopping or going out to eat.I also got a pair for my daughter. Hers are one size larger and also after one wash, fit her perfectly. She is 5’4”. She is a picky tween who hates jeans and despite normally living in camo sweats, loves these pants.

These pants were beautiful. The drape was wonderful. The fabric soft and lightweight however you must be at least 5 foot 8 inches tall to wear them.The pants were so lovely that I took to have them cut and hemmed but the seamstress said that I needed too much off and it would change how they looked. ☹️

I needed pants for a yoga teacher training in India that were: white, loose fitting, natural fibers. These checked those boxes. They were comfortable…sorta…almost too baggy…They did not look good…(which might have been the idea…keep the focus on the class not on being attractive!)So, I am glad they were available for that specific need…and seem to be good quality…after 3 weeks of yoga all day and washing every night, they are holding up fine. Just not going to win any style awards…oh right…we are there for the yoga…

These pants fit almost perfect on me, but the back side is just a tad see through. No issues if it’s for a swim cover up or a shirt is going over it. If not not crazy see through and the fit it nice!
