Not even close to the real deal
First off, the product description reads that it comes with O rings, Lubricant, and instructions. It simply came in a box with a very inferior quality filter. I’m not even convinced that this is anything more then a cloth-wound pre-filter. I am a plumbing contractor and I took it to my wholesaler to compare with the real deal. It does not even compare, and I think this is a total misrepresentation. In fact it is NOT to be used as a treatment for neutralizing the scale and Lime molecules found in harder water. It is a serious false sense of security and a potentially expensive problem waiting to happen to your tankless water heater. There is no required media in this unit at all. This media is the business end of what one needs to treat the water in the first place.
