It's refreshing to see work finally starting to emerge that explores the intersection of food and faith. There are ethical and theological ramifications to our food choices. The author asks whether an observer might be able to identify Christians by their food choices. Of course we know that the answer to that question is almost always no. That fact should be troubling. This book is a good introduction to some of the ethical issues associated with food choice and the practical tips at the end are particularly valuable.

An enjoyable, easy read with short chapters and eye-opening facts
I read this book for a class, begrudgingly at first. The further I got in, the more I enjoyed this author's writing and the factual information provided. Author Andrew Francis writes in short, digestible chapters using an informal language style. He will often ask questions to the reader before diving into the facts to provide his own answer. The religious angle is not heavy. Readers who prefer a more secular discussion on the ethics of eating can easily apply Francis' religious dialogue to a secular one.
