I've been playing D&D since the mid 80's and have used a wide range of dice rolling surfaces and trays for keeping unruly d4, d6, d8, d10, d12 & d20's in some degree of control. I bought this one hoping to find a great balance of a) "not too big" (save ever-dwindling table-top space & easy to bring with me), b) not too small (plenty of room for dice to bounce around a bit before settling, c) handy storage for 2 sets of standard sized RPG dice (2@7 each=14), d) genuine wood look and feel with quality felt lining ... and this tray has not disappointed in any way. I started using it as a DM and player as soon as I got it and I haven't swapped it out for any of my other trays since that day. Size is perfect, action is great, storage is ideal and the action on the latch feels wonderful. Totally satisfied, highly recommend. :)

A perfect dice tray for compact spaces, it’s sturdy and looks nice on a tabletop

It stores a standard 7 dice set perfectly just as the images show. I rolled several times into the storage compartment itself and DM deemed that to be cocked (which I was fine with lol). I’d recommend grabbing the dice for the specific roll one at a time and closing the compartment, or having them out next to the tray during the session, and experimenting with angles to ricochet against the sides of the inside of the tray so you’re not bouncing them out of the tray.TL;DR Awesome little traveling dice tray and storage. Love this thing for its style and practicality

This dice tray took care of the few things I was missing. 1) bounciness is good and keeps metal/plastic dice rolling well. 2) it holds a set of dice in the back part of the tray for easy transport. 3) practicality is what makes the purchase worth it. Mind you this is a small box with few nails as support, maybe just glue, so it is fragile.

Nice for the price, plenty of room to store a dice set and roll during a game.

I bought two of these. Both are almost identical, and very well made! A must-buy if you’re looking for that perfect sound of dice hitting a wooden rolling try (you know what I’m talking about) If I had to say anything “negative”, the swing latch on them are pretty wobbly. But overall, amazing product! Would buy again and I would definitely recommend!
