The LS2 LINKIN ride pal was created in partnership with Sena. It is equivalent in technology, features and functionality to several of Sena's current leading products. It is similar in functionality (interface) to the SMH5, but with the performance of the SMH10. The system allows you to pair 2 phones at the same time. The system charges with the supplied Micro-USB cable. (Any USB port will charge it) it features Sena's proprietary DSP (digital signal processing) for noise cancelling. Firmware updates are available by downloading the LS2 interface which is both windows and Mac compatible. It has an intercom distance of 1000M. To let you know the device is turned on or off, the device has voice prompts for "hello" and "goodbye." The IRP device manager allows you to upgrade the firmware and configure the device settings directly from your pc. Using this software, you can assign speed dial Presets, Speed Dial presets and more. This unit can be paired with up to 3 other Sena intercoms on a 1 to 1 basis. (You can even share your music with your intercom partner.) Additionally, this system also supports the universal intercom function. This means you can intercom with a non Sena Bluetooth system using the IRP if the other system supports HFP. (Hands free profile).

crisp and clear and easy to hear
The sound quality out of this system is top notch, crisp and clear and easy to hear. When I say this thing can get loud I mean it can get loud.I have my unit installed in a Metro and it went in with very little hassle. My ride is a V twin with a drag exhaust and I have no problems hearing my music or a phone call over this system even at highway speeds. If you get a phone call the audio can be very loud tho, might want to turn it down some before you answer. The chin strap mounted controls are convenient and make operating the unit even with gloves on quite easy. When it comes to volume control not only can you turn the unit up, but you can also turn your device up adding to the volume. With speakers right by your ears it can get very loud tho lol.Now the bad. I like the unit, but SENA could have done better for $200. Firstly this unit us barebones basic it's pretty much just a helmet mounted Bluetooth receiver and intercom system. No FM, no app customizability, barely hands free calling and convenient but clunky controls. The controller itself tho conveniently located adds a good inch or so to your chin strap making it bulky and at times uncomfortable. The unit has "hands free calling" but it's done through your phone's voice dial feature and is most of the time slow and unruly. The controller is operated by press and holds for actions, hold 2 seconds for music or 3 for phone call, but it is often you hold to long and get a never ending intercom search that requires a unit restart or you don't press long enough so nothing happens. The system is more press and hold and and hope your music turns on or hope your phone prompt starts. The unit is not 100% hands free.In conclusion tho, if you use an LS2 helmet that fits the ride pal then go ahead and get it, yes it has some draw backs, but the functionality and the quality are there and installation couldn't have been easier. If you can use Velcro lol you can install the ride pal, just remember the antenna on the receiver slides between the foam and the shell in the provided space. Ride hard and be safe.

Not good at all!
This unit was a nightmare to install on my rebellion lS2 helmet. Not at all fitted for this helmet even though stating it did. Secondly, the unit would not hold the charge. Sent it back and got a Cardo unit instead. Fit perfectly and much better quality!

New toys for our toy
Hardest part was getting it into the helmet. After that they are working great.

Poor Audio Quality
Installed this into an LS2 Breaker and the fit was great, setup was fine although needing to connect to a pc whenever you want to change settings kinda sucks. The real problem is the audio quality is terrible. The volume is plenty loud but listening to music is just sad. Phone calls are difficult to understand. Pretty disappointed that I spent more on this than the helmet and it sounds like crap.

Disappointed
Haven't even really used it yet, installed pretty easily into my LS2 Metro. Only dissatisfaction I have with the product is that it isn't able to receive FM radio stations, like stated in the description. Also, SENA and LS2 don't have the full users guide on their main websites, or the software to manage the device on their main websites. Had to contact SENA help desk in order to get the proper website.

Works wonderfully after learning all functions
Product is great for riders. Worked wonderfully for me and my wife. I actually get her to ride with me a little more now! Good sound quality, just takes a little while to learn the different functions. Company provides excellent videos on use and installing, so overall a great product.
