Cute, Compact Case for Your Main Tools
Cute little box, and if you take out the included palette, you can fit quite a bit inside. In the picture above, I have:Center, big section:8 Faber Castell Pitt Pens5 Copics6 Pseudo-Copics (the one you can get at Michaels. Triangle shaped, and a little bit bigger than real copics in overall volume)(and some drawing tools like squares, ruler, protractor)Total: 19Front Tray:7 Colored Pencils4 Faber Castell Pitt Pens2 Pens1 Pencil1 Mechanical PencilTotal: 15And you can see I still have some room, on the side compartments especially. Pastels, craypas, or charcoal sticks would probably fit like a charm (mine did, but I don't use them regularly enough to put 'em in this "crash cart").So, I was pleased! Not giant, but that's a benefit sometimes. Easily transports my main tools, with organization.

Perfect Pencil/sketch box…
Very nice and sturdy box for carrying your sketching/drawing paraphernalia. The reason I like it better than say a pencil bag or case is it protects points and pens such as water brushes with an ink wash from being broken and squeezed causing leakage. Also, since you have everything in view when it’s opened I find myself using more than the one pen or pencil I grabbed, like when I reached in a pencil case. I have enough art pencils and pens for a few lifetimes I may as well get some use out of them. It is the perfect size to tuck in a messenger bad or backpack but I usually just grab it and my sketch book and go.

A Little Extra...
This item was a bit smaller than I expected, though that had been written about in other reviews, so I guess I was still sort of expecting that. What I wasn't expecting, however, was for it to come with a little something extra. A special... gift, if you will. Imagine my surprise when I opened the lid for the first time and found a line of fuzzy gray mold on one of the dividers. I almost couldn't believe it. However, considering the vast diversity of other horrible things that one could receive from the great black void of the internet, I guess my little gift wasn't so bad. It did wipe off and, hopefully, won't return after being taken care of with a little chemical gift of my own. All things aside, this is a decent product for the cost and will do the job as well as can be expected for the size that it is.

Very nice box, indeed.
I'd been searching Amazon arts/crafts pages looking for a box for my sketch pencils, erasers, & sharpeners. About to give up and Viola! The size is just right and the middle inner section is perfect for pencils. Plus the two side compartments will be for my erasers. The long "brush" area, for my X-ACTO knife etc! The palette is just a bonus for me! But it will hold items in place!I considered buying a fancy Oriental Box to use that was very expensive {I have quality art equipment & like nice stuff} but fortunately I found this and came to my senses again:}I'm making this into a special box and just finished staining the whole thing in & out and will add two coats of varnish to top off the project! Lastly I'll "spray glue" a felt pad on the bottom so I can put it on my coffee table where it can keep company with my sketch pads & broads and where I do most of my sketching! Now the reason to put all this energy into this simple box if you haven't guessed already is that it is a quality piece of work that I hoped it would be and for me deserves a craftsmanship wood finish to top it off!Ya can't go wrong here!

Damaged.
Clearly you can see it has some form of being hand made I guess considering the cut lines are a little off in certain areas versus others. I do not expect it to be 100% perfect. But one of the locks is busted up and crooked.I honestly do not understand if it was an accident with shipping or in the making. I really love this product. Truly through and through.

A sturdy transport
This is a great little container for my oils. It holds a limited palette of around nine 37ml tubes. The purpose of my purchase was to have a clean way to transport an oil color palette to and from the art class I teach and although it is a small size, it lives up to my needs. The palette is porous though and will soak up the oil in your paint so bring medium. I actually like this effect because it gives me greater control over the flow of the paint I am using. It fits perfectly into a messenger bag I use.It is highly possible I will purchase another in the future for other mediums or to hold other colors and to have a second palette.

A Great Box for its Price
I was mostly looking for something to store my watercolor and gouache paints. It can fit a decent amount of paints without the palette. The box itself is light, so it'll be great for travel. The only cons are the lack of a handle, the wood is not varnished, and the palette may need to be primed in order to properly hold paints without having them soak through. But for the price, I can't complain.

Nice art box...
I love the box. It's a huge improvement over the cigar box I had been using for my art supplies. The dividers are especially useful in separating , in my case, pencil and charcoal from erasers and tortillions. The hinges and the latch seem a bit flimsy, but have held up just fine so far. The biggest problem, which hasn't bothered me since I don't use it, is that the insert (the "palette") warps significantly after opening. I could barely close the box now if I tried to store the palette inside, but I doubt most purchasing decision for this will rest on how severely the palette will bend.
