This is a great product, when it fits. I bought 2 sets of colors and on the 1st one, all the buttons fit wonderfully. I'm assuming it's because that Playstation 5 controller was manufactured over a year and a half ago. The one in the photo is the one I had trouble with. As you can see, it is the original regular dualsense (not the newer edge version) playstation 5 controller but Playstation still managed to change the design a bit on the inside. This controller was purchased only 3 weeks ago (Dec 2022) and was included in the PS5 console GOW:Ragnarok edition. Just be aware, the PS5 controllers seem to be manufactured a little bit differently now therfore the sizing is off on the L1/R1 controllers so they no longer snap in and the trigger buttons are not easily detachable in the newly designed controllers because 2 of the screws that were previously there to detach the triggers are no longer there. I had to leave the original black ones in. I'm assuming extremerate just hasn't caught up with the seemingly very new design yet. I'm still really satisfied with how they came out though! We have tested both controllers with multiple games and have had zero problems with sticking or responsiveness.

They are still doing great months later and easy to install they fit and look great and pretty good quality too. It’s not original but it’s great

Bought these for my partner's birthday in advance. Come find out today as they're switching their buttons happily that the L1, L2, R1, and R2 buttons were all misprinted/designed/created. The L1 and R1 are for the old model controllers and don't fit the newer model controllers, and the L2 and R2 triggers have the incorrect insides. They are switched ie L2 fits R2 slots but reads L2 on the trigger and is shaped like an L2 trigger. Very, very disappointed I can't even get a refund for these or even an exchange.

I bought four sets of buttons. Two black, one purple, and one champagne gold. They are of high quality, fit great, and look fantastic. The only problem I had was with one black set. After replacing the buttons, the L2 and R2 buttons fired continuously. After removing and replacing several times with no improvement, I put the original L2 and R2 buttons back on. The controllers went back to working correctly. Yes, I verified that the ones I ordered and the controller type matched. This wasn't a problem for me because the R2 and L2 buttons are already black. The other sets worked perfectly.

not a perfect fit so the L1 & R1 bumpers don’t feel as smooth but they’re wonderful if you don’t want to buy the pearl ps5 controller.

I really like these buttons. I love the color and goes so well with my white PS5 remote. My main reason for changing the buttons was due to the fact that my up arrow button was no longer working. My toddler threw it a few times and must've loosened it up. I had a feeling it could be fixed. Sure enough when I switched out the buttons the remote works good as new! changing the buttons is a little time consuming, especially for someone who's never done it before. I wouldn't had been able to replace the buttons without the video on youtube but I don't usually customize my remotes either. So if I can do it, anyone can! I love the look of the remote so much that my next purchase is going to be the matching piece where the black piece is.

This is the fourth controller kit I've purchased from ExtremeRate and so far they've been great... until now. EDITED REVIEW DUE TO REPLACEMENT PARTS Initially I was delivered an L2 trigger for the intended BDM-010/020 controllers mixed with an R2 trigger designed for the BDM-030/040 controllers. (Pictures included) After requesting a return through Amazon I was delivered a new kit that had the correct triggers and have improved my rating as a result. ((Im relation to other reviews complaining the L2 and R2 are identical rather than symmetrical... that is how the actual PS5 triggers are designed. If they would have actually taken the triggers apart they would see that clear as day.)) I'm still disappointed and frustrated by their video instructions being explicitly for the BDM-010 despite the product being for both the BDM-010 and the BDM-020. Being relatively tech and model savvy, I was still able to work my way through the rest of the process forward and backwards without instructions... but this would certainly pose a challenge to those without those skills. All in all, the end result is beautiful and my wife loves her controller as much as I love my controller, also customized with ExtremeRate.

I went with the full wood detail on my controller, all eXtremeRate gear so you'll see this review on the other parts too. Not a terribly difficult project but it is very time consuming. Be sure to watch every video you can on how to take it apart properly. The main shell pieces are the easiest to deal with. Pop out the piece connected to the sticks first, then split the front and back plates, then you're in. The top two clips on the side near the L1/R1 are the hardest to pop out, but the rest after that is all screws. All the back shell pieces feel real smooth, as well as the buttons. BE WARNED: if you're replacing the touchpad it requires some type of heat gun to melt the glue to peel of the PCB board. I didn't know this going in and had to improvise with a blow dryer and a razor blade to get under it. The touchpad version of the replacement touchpad has two screws, but the newest model of PS5 official controller only has 1 and a notched slot. This is to make sure that the pad, the PCB, and the plastic piece connected have a TIGHT connection. With the two screws you have to make sure they're all the way tight. I don't think I did this correctly and now my pad sits slightly higher than the original and feels very slightly wobbly. I think something similar happened with the Options and Share buttons as they are slightly more recessed than the original. Overall, they all work as they originally did, just the feel is SLIGHTLY off. You'll need some tweezers and a light grip as well for removing the ribbon cables in the internals. There's no instructions in the box, but there's plenty of YouTube vids out there to get you where you need to go. Fun project for the evening, but took me about 3 hours to finish and test afterwards. May go back in later to fix the pad and other buttons, but overall happy with how it came out.

I misread the description and thought these were for ps4 controllers however that was my own fault .. I was still able to modify the d-pad so I could use it but unfortunately I cannot use the other buttons. They are great quality and a really pretty color so I highly recommend!

There's not even much to say about this, it doesn't add more functionality to your controller, doesn't make you play any better, this is purely cosmetic. These bundles adding so much more flair to the controller makes it so worth it to me. Most of the buttons in the bundle are fairly easy to install, thanks to the fact that the controller itself is already pretty easy to disassemble. L2 and R2 were easily the hardest part of the installation, maybe some would argue they're not worth replacing. I have an 010 controller, so I had no issues installing the triggers. However, it does require you to disassemble the entire trigger mechanism just to replace the button. I was really nervous doing it, but they actually offer multiple video guides that show you how to replace everything. I would recommend this to anyone looking to make their controller feel more "theirs". This is easily the most special controller I own.
