These feel amazing and work really well
These feel amazing and work really well. The color, material, and feel of the grips are identical to the joycons themselves. The grips are weightless, something I don't mind / might even prefer since joycons are supposed to be light. The triggers are what feels best. They give a little at first and only once you press all the way down does it audibly click the little SL and SR buttons on the joycons. This doesn't make the joycons have a real trigger (AKA one where you could tailor the amount of input you're putting into, say, a racing game in order to accelerate at different rates. BUT the grips make it feel as though it is a real trigger. You may think this could confuse the gamer. It doesn't thanks to the audible click; all it really does is make it feel better, but A LOT better at that. The plastic feels solid. I squeezed the grips pretty hard but not my hardest and they didn't feel like they were about to break or snap or anything. I wrenched the "arms" of the grip in either direction and it also wasn't going to break easily (again I used probably 70% force). So these should definitely be strong enough for everyday use and could withstand the impact of *normal* drops (although I'm not sure I would toss these around just because the joycons inside are expensive lol). I ordered two of these during an Amazon lightning deal and one came from Fastsnail, the company I thought I'd be getting both from, and the other from Dobe Forms Electronics. I'm not sure which set came from which since I unpacked them both at the same time and mixed them up immediately, but I did notice two differences between the two pairs: 1. One set, presumably the Dobe set since the Fastsnail set didn't advertise this, came with thumb stick caps. 3 red (two short caps and one long) and 3 blue (same configuration as red caps). Their pretty nice, go on easily and do the job. For those who don't know, longer thumbstick caps are used to increase the height of the stick. That way, in say a first person shooter game, you have finer movement of where you are looking/aiming. The heightened thumb stick increases the spacial circumference in which your thumb physically travels through as it moves the stick around, allowing you to fine tune your movements. These thumbstick came totally unexpectedly but I am glad to have them nevertheless. 2. One set, again I'm not sure which, was matte and the other was glossy/more glossy than the other. The glossy set seems to pick up sweat and oil a little more, and reflect light more readily of course. I'd say the texture of the matte is closer to the joycon's texture, but really it's hard to tell. The color between the sets is ever so slightly different as well. I can barely tell only when comparing them side by side. And when comparing each to the color of the joycons my eyes do tricks and both sets look exactly like the joycons in them. That being said, I beleive the matte set is the true Fastsnail version that I had ordered for (based on other reviewers describing this set as matte). Just be careful since Amazon might send you a pair from a different company like they did with me. But even then, both grips are excellent so I'm not even mad.

Great Ergonomic Upgrade for Extended Switch Play—Especially for Larger Hands
As someone who plays the Nintendo Switch both docked and handheld for long sessions, the FastSnail Grips have made a noticeable difference in comfort and overall gameplay experience. Joy-Cons on their own can feel cramped—especially for adult-sized hands—and these grips solve that problem elegantly without adding excessive bulk. Key Insights: Ergonomic Design: The grips are contoured and mimic a more traditional controller feel, reducing hand fatigue during longer gaming sessions. This is especially noticeable with games that require precision or lots of thumbstick movement. Secure Fit: The Joy-Cons snap in tightly without wobbling or feeling like they might slip out. Buttons and triggers remain fully accessible, and there's no lag or interference. Durable Build: The plastic feels sturdy and not cheap, and the matte finish gives a solid grip without being slippery. It also resists fingerprints and smudges well. Great for Multiplayer: Having two grips included is ideal for multiplayer games—makes splitting the Joy-Cons feel much more natural and fair between players. Overall, this is an inexpensive yet highly effective accessory that elevates the handheld and multiplayer experience. If you find the standard Joy-Cons uncomfortable over time or have larger hands, FastSnail Grips are absolutely worth the upgrade

Delivered one day earlier than estimated. Joy-cons fit snugly without falling out. Triggers are very responsive.
I purchased these on Prime Day 2017, and I can't say enough good things about the process. 1st off, this came 1 day after I bought it. Better than 2 day shipping which is unbelievable considering the volume of orders being processed and shipped on Prime Day. 2nd, the main focus of this product is to make the individual joy-cons more comfortable to play with for multi-player games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. They do that tremendously well. I shied away from playing Mario Kart with friends before buying these grips because using an individual joy-con is just not comfortable. It feels so small in your hands, and you are basically forced to use them with the wrist straps attached because the triggers are essentially non-functional without the wrist strap on. So for starters, these grips are about the size and shape of a playstation controller, so they're very comfortable. The trigger buttons are much easier to press with the grips on; they're even easier to press than a joy-con with the wrist strap on. I tried pressing them from all different angles, and they respond great every time. Most of the negative reviews on this product were a.) the joy-cons fall out of the grips or b.) the trigger buttons are not very responsive. I can say for sure that the joy-cons stay firmly in place, but they're not so tight that you have trouble removing them. My 4 year old was playing with me and waving the controller around, and the joy-con didn't even budge. The trigger buttons, as stated above, work amazingly. They are better than stock Nintendo joy-con accessories like the wrist-straps. There is nothing in this product or its delivery that would force me to give it less than 5 stars.

Great idea! But one thing to note...
You definitely get what you expect out of these. It’s a grip for your individual Joycons. The L and R triggers feel great; a little stiff, so they’re different from the Pro Controller and Joycon Grip, but I personally like the feel. They’re comfortable in your hand too, and it’s fun to match the alternate colors of Joycons, such as the exclusive ARMS and Splatoon 2 with the red and blue grips. Your controllers won’t get stuck in them either, as there is a little indent in the bottom area of the photo to easily remove them, and they won’t come undone on their own. HOWEVER, there is one fatal flaw. Because the Joycons have their buttons and control sticks positioned in a way that they line up nicely on a grip or in handheld mode, playing them sideways like a wiimote produces a problem that takes a while to get used to. When in these grips, all the central buttons get shifted to one side, as shown in the photo. This makes it difficult, as one thumb will have to reach extra far to reach the buttons or control stick. This kinda makes holding the thing awkward, and can affect gameplay. For example, I tried playing Mega Man Legacy Collection, an action platformer with one of these grips. I had a different time making the precise inputs needed to jump and shoot at the same time, as the Y button positioned on the blue girp is literally in the middle of the controller. Games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, handle fine, as all you need to really do is hold down A, which is farther right. Overall, the grips are pretty good on their own, But if you don’t have any other control options, like other Joycons to form a grip, or a Pro Controller, and you find holding with its provided back cover and strap uncomfortable, I’d definitely recommend this, but only really if you don’t have any other control options for multiplayer games.

FastSnail vs AmazonBasics vs Surge Grips
At the time of purchase, I couldn't decide between these FastSnail vs AmazonBasics vs Surge Grips. I got all three and will provide a comparison here. FastSnail Grips - Red and Blue - Fit: easy to slide joy cons in, snug, feels about the right tightness - Comfort: feels natural to hold, no strain with prolonged playing - SL and SR Button: large SL and SR buttons make it easy to press quickly and not miss. Provides a subtle "click" feel when pressed (similar to mechanical keyboards, although the "click" not as pronounced as mech keyboards). This is the main reason I went with these grips over the AmazonBasics or Surge Grips. - Thumb Grips: came with 4 thumb grips (2 blue and 2 red for this version) and 2 extra height thumb grips - Price: reasonably priced, purchased at $12.95 AmazonBasics Grips - Red - Fit: snug, but feels a bit too tight - Comfort: identical feel to FastSnail's Grips, comfortable for prolonged use - SL and SR Button: once again, the large buttons make it easy to press, no subtle "click" when pressed, just a smooth actuation. Personally, I like the click. It somehow makes pressing the buttons more enjoyable. I've read in other reviews that you can open up the controller and switch out the springs, but too much of a hassle for me - Thumb Grips: came with 2 black thumb grips - Price: great deal, purchased at $3.60 (was discounted, normal price $11.99) Surge Grips - Grey - Fit: fits snug, and looks nicer than the FastSnail and AmazonBasics grips since there are no gaps. - Comfort: comfortable to hold and play, however, it is slightly smaller than the FastSnail and AmazonBasics grips. Seems to still give me some strain on prolonged use. May be a good size for children's hands. - SL and SR Button: it does provide a subtle "click" when pressed, but the buttons are too small for my liking - Thumb Grips: came with 2 black grips, slightly thicker than the normal grips in the FastSnail and AmazonBasics - Price: great price, purchased at $5.70 (add-on item)

Great Switch Grip Option
Works perfectly to add additional grip to your normal Switch JoyCons. The controllers fit very well into the grips and the plastic is quite durable. They are a great value for the money. My only criticism of them is that they feel kind of light.

Get A (Better) Grip
Even though just a mold of a piece of plastic; it does it's job surprisingly well. If you have giant man hands then you know that the original stand alone joy con controllers may be a bit cramped, and this product helps alleviate this a bit. Your hands are more closer together than the Xbox one and PS4 controller, but still comfortable during long game sessions. If you use the joycon grip attachment that came with your Switch it's the same horizontal distance Very easy to slip on and off without having to deal with any cumbersome latch mechanism Having used this dozens of times, the joycon controllers have no scratches whatsoever when using this product Triggers are pretty stiff does not have a spring built in, making it feel like real triggers. But it's way better than pressing the tiny SL and SR buttons in the default setup. Played Ultra Street Fighter II and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with this and i have massive gameplay skill improvement than without the grip especially when using the trigger buttons When you're on the Home screen of the switch, you have to flip the controller vertically unless you're used to inverted controls as it'll detect the up button the the joystick as left or right depending on which joycon you're using One of your thumbs will have to stretch towards the center of controller as it very awkward, but you get used to it after a while The last two issues is still present with or without the grip so i won't dock it Overall these grips makes game more playable especially if you have large non-childlike hands. Its a little something extra to carry around if you go portable with it, but definitely worth it

Comfortable grips
The coating is comfortable and legit. I've bought the cheaper version (no coating, plastic feel, unreliable L+R buttons) and this set is much better quality. The coating is smooth. The controller is held in by 4 rubber stops, and the L+R buttons work well.

Esattamente come Nintendo avrebbe dovuto progettarli
