GC-A1BK GO CRUISE 2 Universal Throttle Control System – Black

I have to say that this item delivered exactly what I needed. I rode the New Mexico Backcountry Discovery Route on a CRF 300 Rally recently and used the Go Cruise Throttle Control System. After long sessions of off road riding it was truly a blessing to be able to lock the throttle for short periods on the road sections to give my hands a break. The Go Cruise was incredibly easy to install and easy to use while riding. You can easily spin the lock with your pointer finger to loosen and tighten as needed and it's also easy to slip two fingers in to really cinch it down if you need to. It's not "real" cruise control so hills can require adjustment but I found it to be invaluable for this type of riding. I would highly recommend.

This is such a simple idea but after talking to an owner of this device, I decided to give it a try. There is a bit of a learning curve (to slow the bike with throttle response, you actually have to roll the throttle forward to disengage) but after about 30 minutes of riding, you start to catch on. Note: this is not a true cruise control but more of a throttle lock. Just know when you lock it at speed, for example, 45 mph, on level ground, you'll run 45, going up a grade, you may be at 35, going down it may be 55. In the long run, if being able to rest your throttle wrist is your goal, this is a great, affordable solution.

Ok maybe I need to get use to it. But first off I’ll say it’s easy to mount onto my throttle grip. 2025 Moto Morini Calibro. It’ hold firmly on the grip with the silicone band supplied. Made out of good sturdy material. I noticed that when I had it “locked” into position sometime it wouldn’t hold the desired speed. Ok I tightened it a little bit more. Thumb screw easy to use even when in motion, a little cumbersome though. Once tightened and held in place it kept the desired speed I chose. It would occasionally loosen up with vibration and I had to constantly keep tightening it. That was my only issue. Hopefully it’ll get easier to use as I become more familiar with its quirks. I chose to just leave it on, it takes a little real estate on the grip, and is bothersome at first but you’ll get accustomed to it being there if you choose to just leave it on. All in all it’s not bad and when it’s doing its job it’s fantastic. Side note; just be careful with it when first trying it. Make sure you leave space between the vehicle in front of you or do it while on an open road. Figure out which way is easier to set it, get comfortable with that. Roll off your throttle and it’s disengaged. That simple.

This is the one. After I picked up an older Honda CB and getting used to riding it further and further, I began to miss the luxuries of electronic cruise control on my modern bikes. I've been through 4 different units including this one, and I think I have finally found the "Goldilocks" of throttle lock nirvana - not too expensive, but not too useless/frustrating! In a quick summary, this unit is the perfect length that it doesn't interfere with lower mirrors, has a plastic pad on the bottom side so it doesn't scratch your brake lever, and has a great tightening screw that holds more tension that other units that are similar. Also, there is plenty of aluminium in the stressed areas so I don't foresee any cracking or failure on a long trip. Also, something important to mention that other units don't - this clamp has been powder-coated or painted with a satin-like finish that provides the perfect amount of friction and grip - it doesn't slip at all during use, but you can still easily roll off the throttle to disengage the cruise control. In a word: it's perfect! The only thing I'd like to see is if this unit could come with a rubber band that has ridges so the cruise control doesn't slip side-to-side. It's not an issue for my grips as they are tapered, but I could see this issue on grips that are the same diameter throughout. --- The others I've tried are below: -Atlas throttle lock: Design is very "sleek" and easy to operate with the large buttons, but for older bikes or multi-carb bikes with a strong throttle spring, it tends to slip super easily and you can't maintain a constant speed for very long. In my case, I attempted to use it on my CBX and I still had slipping issues, even with many adjustments/ rubber pad combinations, and even adding grip tape. I can see it working well for newer bikes with weaker springs however. Also, the price is a tad high for what it is. -BrakeAway Cruise Control: I did like the use of this on my Yamaha Bolt I used to ride - easily the safest and most intuitive setup. However, on many older bikes like the CB/CBXes with narrow handlebars, there isn't much room to mount the support arm. Also, it is extremely expensive for what it is - but it does work well. It's very OEM looking, but at a hefty premium. -MyBand Motorcycle Cruise Control Clamp: This one is similar to the GO CRUISE 2, but is much longer and interferes with mirrors that are too low. Also, the adjustment screw is too small to get enough tightness, and unlike this unit, it has been painted slick so it slips too easily, even with very tight.

I own 2004 Kawasaki ZX6-R 636 for those familiar with the bikes you will know that it is a sport bike and what it comes get with these bikes is a lot fun at the cost of fatigue of different parts of your body. In my case it was right hand going numb to the point it was hard for me to hold throttle. I decided to get cruise control for my bike just so I can let my hand rest here and there making longer rides more bearable. I decided to buy this little unit since reviews were great and other brand i was looking at was $15 more (Omni Cruise) . When I unit arrived I put on my bike and off I went next day for 200 mile ride. This unit work great when it did. I first set my bike to go 60mph set cruise on and it worked like charm. I was sold but then next few times I tried to use it during same trip I encounter different problem everytime I tired to set it up it would hold speed for a moment then my speed would slowly start to drop 1 mph every 10-15 seconds. I thought maybe its not tight enough try tightening more no change then I decided to take off rubber ring that comes with it attach it directly to my handle grip still same story. I tighten even more to the point I was afraid it would be too tight and I won't be able to disengage it in time if I have to slow down or stop. I came to conclusion that vibrations are the problem. There is no rubber on bottom of cruise control to absorb it therefore it starts to slowly loosen itself. Another problem I found is the way you have to use your thumb to engage GO Cruise. There is really small part at the end of it to push it forward with your thumb which makes it hard to do it if you have it tighten down pretty good It would be better if this was little bigger like the one (Omni Cruise) has. It the end this product did partial job for me. I was trying to return it and go with Omni Crusie but I don't want to pay for return shipping so I guess I will hold on to it and improve it on my own hopefully making better.

Little sketchy how they function but the quality and price is reasonable. Recommended but caution when you use them.

Works amazing on my Suzuki 9.9 outboard! The built-in knob to apply tension to the outboard throttle on the handle refuses to work properly. I have my outboard on a 23’ sailboat, and it was a nightmare having to hold the twist throttle in place and also steer with the tiller. This product is a godsend. Tension from the silicone ring is what holds the twist throttle in place, the clamp simply keeps the silicone ring from moving. Game changer for my sailboat! Throttle is still easy to modulate as needed.

My new FJ-09 can't take a Throttle Meister, and this looked like it might do the trick cheaply and effectively. Its low price made low risk to try out. This is a very high quality piece, nicely machined aluminum and I really like the tension adjuster, which is kept from loosening by a retention spring. You set the tension once and never worry about it. This is well engineered and I don't think you'll find any better version of this kind of throttle lock. My only problem with it, the reason it doesn't easily get five stars, is that it's a bit more irritating to use in the real world than I expected coming from the Throttle Meisters used on previous bikes. With this lock you set the throttle by holding the throttle steady and pushing the lock down against the brake lever with your finger. This sounds easy, and it is -- once, or twice, or a few times. The problem is that you'll spend awhile getting the trim just right every time you set it, and that means holding your finger against the throttle lock while you make minute adjustments to get the speed stable. Finally got it right? Now you're going up a hill and you get to do it again. And again, and again. For a quick lock so you can rest your throttle arm it's fine, but it turns out to be way more irritating than I expected over the course of a long day. I kept wanting some way to lock it to the brake lever so that I could just tweak the throttle. On the upside, releasing the lock is a simple matter of twisting the throttle to its stop, after which the throttle works normally. Compared to the fiddling necessary to disengage a Throttle Meister I consider this a big improvement in terms of both safety and convenience. So, it's not all bad even in comparison with the best throttle locks. I've also used a "cramp buster", but those are quite a lot more irritating to use, don't allow you to take your hand off the throttle, and are much lower quality. If you're looking at one of those, buy this instead. If you aren't planning to cruise with the throttle locked for long periods of time this is a great little device that gets the job done for short money, literally a hundred dollars or more less than more sophisticated throttle locks like the Throttle Meister or Kaoko. That pays for a lot of gasoline.
