This is a brilliant hot food maker, excellent for fried eggs, I’ve cooked a lot with this. It’s sturdy and easy to use. It heats up fast and does a brilliant job for camper van hot snacks.

Overall a very good product! My main issue is it takes a long time to cook, I made 3 pancakes on the stove in the time it took for the pancake maker to cook 1 pancake. In addition, the top panel doesn’t cook the pancake fully so after waiting 3-5 minutes, you then have to flip the pancake and cook for another 2 minutes or so.

If you want a couple of pancakes for breakfast ..you best start using this at midnight and go back to bed for it to cook and forget about the 2nd one. Slow isn't doesn't go to describe this ..

This works well enough for the price and makes pancake which my son loves.

I did pancakes in it - yes they take longer than in a pan but you don’t have to turn them over or really keep much of an eye on them, I did frittatas (small omelettes ) they were really quick and again you don’t have to turn them over and a fried egg - slower than in a pan but a lot less mess - this is great - good for doing one at a time so ideal for a single person or just buy one per person - wipes clean, no mess - I don’t know why I haven’t had one before!

Like other Giles & Posner gadgets this is FANTASTIC if you are cooking for one! I have Coeliac disease as well, and its very useful. This makes brilliant little pancakes and no they dont take 10 mins to cook (?) It is also perfect for something like a single egg for breakfast which cooks in under 2 mins. You only need to wipe the plates with a little oil to clean. I use the Giles & Posner single mini pie maker to make a "scone" or roll, or biscuit, using 45g SR flour, 45ml milk, 7ml oil. This ended many years searching for a way to have hot fresh "bread" for lunch that was easy and quick. It makes a fairly chunky scone. (The pancakes were light and delicious. )

Bought for my daughter. Disappointed in this product. Takes far too long to cook anything. Pancakes nothing like the picture. Breakfast muffin, by the time you've cooked all the components the muffin is cold. There is no way you can make a delicious stack of pancake!
