So I was experimenting for a pen to use with study sessions and classes. I was looking for a pen that has a nice stream of rich black ink where it could be easily read, without it bleeding through the paper, writes smoothly with little resistance/pressure needed, and affordability/ durability. I wasn’t looking for a luxury pen cuz i got enough of those, i wanted something more ergonomic. I found that that felt pens fit my needs most and remembered a few videos of American professors and mathematicians talking about how fantastic the pencils and chalk from Japan is and how they’re superior. So i took their word and that’s how I ended up here! What i have to say is it’s definitely one of the smoothest writing pens with a wonderfully rich black ink that doesn’t bleed and just flows naturally when jotting down notes in a lecture and general studying. The few things Ill have to say is that highlighters don’t pair well with the pen cuz the black ink stain the marker itself, thus darkening the highlights, and it lasted me almost 2 months of intense college courses and studying. It also isn’t quite a practical pen you would carry around in your daily life. However the price of the pen is extremely affordable and when it comes to studying/ note taking, or drawing/ calligraphy, this pen excels above most if not any pen I have ever used!

The ink of this pen is great quality! It didn’t bleed through the paper. I love how the extra fine tip is so versatile between fine lines and thick lines - as I showed in the photo. Highly recommend!

Very good pen I bought for a gift

The Kuretake Bimoji Brush Pen set is a must for every artist or those interested in Japanese calligraphy. The versatile brush tips make it easy to create everything from fine, hair-thin lines to bold, dramatic strokes. The ink is deep black and doesn’t fade, giving every piece a clean, professional look. They perform beautifully whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned artist, and the price is excellent for the quality you get.

This is a solid set of non-refillable brushes for on the go sketching. The brushes have decent points and give you a nice varity of line weights. The ink is a little gray but more than adequate for most uses, thats just me being super fussy. They do wear out and dry out relatively quickly. I enjoy using them and just bought a second set!

I use these pens to be practice Japanese kanji and I am a very happy customer. I will definitely buy them again in the future. They are quality pens and very comfortable to use. It takes some practice but it is easy to understand and control the flux of ink when using the brush pens, which is a basic skill of any calligraphy practice regardless of the language or writing system. I recommend this product.

Transazione eccellente e veloce. Il pennarello è versatile, la punta-pennello fluida e scorrevole, l'inchiostro scuro. Uso questo pennarello in combinazione con penne a inchiostro di diversi spessori, per disegni e schizzi. Anche il tratto più sottile è abbastanza spesso, quindi ho deciso di procurarmi anche le misure più piccole. Lo possiedo da poco, quindi non posso esprimermi sulla durata. In ogni caso direi che si tratta di un prodotto che ha soddisfatto le mie aspettative, dall'ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.

This is my absolute favourite brush pen for line art so far. The felt tip nib gives you enough control over the lines, unlike the Pentel brush pen, which requires a lot more practice and effort.
