Almost 4 stars but leaks too much
Good price & delivery, seems to be exact fit/match for the name brand valve I replaced (and the parts are interchangeable). Even the expensive versions of these ball valves tend to leak a little bit, but this one leaks a whole lot. I had to cap my old one with a threaded plug because of a slow drip with the filter going, but I have to cap this one even when backwashing the filter as the doesn't drip, it flows, with the valve closed.

Easy install, works perfectly!
Original piece started leaking, bought this as replacement and it works perfectly! Easily & Quickly installed.

Second one
Hopefully it will hold this time. We bought last year one and it cracked, this year hopefully new one holds.

valve leaks when shut off
Thought this was a great deal and purchased to install on filter for backwash. I removed my battered old hayward valve and put this in it's place. No matter what I did this would not fully shut off and leaked from ball valve even when pump was off. When I opened package there was water inside and I should have questioned the product then. My guess this was a return and probably for this same reason. Sent back and paid the big bucks for a replacement Hayward.. Maybe you will be lucky and get a New "good one" or maybe you will get my return.

Doesn’t leak
The only reason I ordered this item was because my original started to leak. Installed this and no more leak.

Leaks a lot. Have plumbers tape ready
Leaks but after we installed and put tape on it, it worked fine. It had to or our pipes would be unavailable until we could find a replacement.

Leaked
The threaded part did not seal well and the valve T handle actually leaked as well. The male hose adapter from the old broken valve did fit the female open end of this ball valve.

Good Value
Changing my pool pump and decided to change out the shut off valve as well. Glued up fine on my hoses and doesn't leak. Cheaper than local pool store.

Valve handle cracked
First time trying to open valve handle it was stuck closed and had to force it open, and it cracked the handle part only. Now I got to use the other handle from other valve to open and close both valves. Not Cool it was brand new. Junk should of stuck with gate valves instead of ball valve.
