Dorman 46835 PCV Valve Assembly Compatible with Select Models

This PCV valve assembly was an exact match for my vehicle and installed without any problems. The fit was precise, with all connections lining up correctly, and it sealed tightly without any leaks. After installation, the engine idle smoothed out, and overall performance improved. It is clear that the old PCV valve had been causing some issues, and this replacement solved them right away. The build quality feels solid, and the materials look like they will hold up well over time. It arrived well-packaged and in perfect condition, so it was ready to install right out of the box. I’m sure the product is fine. But I had bad luck. Didn’t even last 10k miles. The “valve” jumped the spring and stuck open. Symptoms were audible vacuum noise from engine bay. Slight stutter when throttle. If you turn on ac at idle it almost stalls the motor. With the finesse and effort this job takes consider OEM product. I went with OEM assembly line overstock for half price found on EB. Posted is a video of failed Dorman vs OEM. Included a picture of failure for science.

Do NOT buy this part. Part failed in about 3 weeks time. I would have attempted a return of the part, but it's just outside the return window by 2 days. My vehicle gave me a check engine light with multiple codes and put me into limp home mode. Good thing I was on my own street when it started acting really goofy. Do yourself a HUGE favor and get a quality part from another supplier. I had to fish a piece of this Dorman part out of my PCV hose after it failed miserably. $30 piece of garbage, just to have to replace it with a better part later.

I used this on my 2015 Ram 1500 and the fit was perfect. Not the easiest location to install but doable. I replaced my stock PCV valve just because I was doing some 100k+ maintenance to extend the truck's performance. It's been 16k+ miles or 8 months since the replacement and haven't had any leaks or issues. Very happy with my purchase.

The PCV on a Wrangler JK has to be removed before removing the right side valve cover. Extremely hard task due to limited space and torque head hardware. The Dorman replacement provides hex head bolts that are much easier to manipulate. I doubt if the original was bad but a new PCV was recommended because of the new gasket. Dorman PCV works fine. The amount of labor involved justifies replacement.

works great as advertised. It is a bit of work to get the old one of and the new one on. If you have the special tool it makes it easier.

This piece is a perfect factory fit, but an absolute nightmare to install on a JK Jeep Wrangler (not the part's fault). I have to hand it to Dorman for including 2 new screws with hex heads...the factory bolts had torx heads and those would have been impossible to tighten down once reinstalled. Make sure you have all the right tools before you even start, meaning make sure you have a tiny tiny ratchet and box wrench set. Like no longer than 2". Jack the passenger side up and remove the wheel and liner to get access to the PCV hose and bottom bolt on the valve. Be sure to set aside 2-3 hours, and be prepared to walk away for a few minutes as you get frustrated. It can be done with patience though.

Extremely tricky to install on v6 pentastar Durango. Small hands and a step stool needed to install blindly. Definitely replace the original screws with the bolts included! Small finger ratchet or very small 1/4 ratchet helps with installation.

Good fit, no leaks and seems to run smoother since replacement in 2014 Jeep Wrangler Sahara with 81k. The PVC Valve is right up against the firewall and you are fighting the auto trans dipstick tube and fuel line for space. Overall doable with a bit of patience, and you saved hundreds in labour cost.

Sirve pero no es de muy buena calidad ya que al poco tiempo ya no sirve, mejor comprar el de metal
