Would have given 5 stars, but the suction cup will not hold in the heat.

Functionally it's perfect, but the clasp didn't match my Thinkware X500. I was able to swap it out with the clasp on my original 3M mount, but still I had to dock a star for that.

I personally like this so much better than the adhesive mount. If you get a rock chip or crack and have to have your windshield replaced, you’ll be loving this too. I use this in my semi-truck at work as some added insurance due to people’s lack of consideration. The suction cup is strong and takes all of the vibration and jostling that the roads throw at it. I’ve never had it come loose and fall.

Returned. I’m sure it holds the dash cam just fine. I’m only reviewing because it won’t clear my Amazon unless I do.

We were under the impression i was going to be away too big..but no...its a perfect small and compact camera holder...i recommend!

Used to mount an fw10 temporarily. Best suction cup ever. Will stick very strongly even without flipping the switch. Also a pretty small suction cup. Smaller and much more reliable that one you’d get, for example, for a dash cam pro. (Do not get a dash cam pro, it is a total scam, thinkware will sell you something so much better for not much more money. ($25 maybe for a 1080p cam)

Most suction mounts wont stay mounted for too long before the fall off. This one has stayed on the window so far. Its only been mounted for a little over two weeks, but so far it stays where its placed, and this is mounted in a rough riding truck, so that said a lot. We will see how it works when the weather gets hot, but so far its fine.

The suction cup doesn't stick well even when making sure both the windscreen and the cup surfaces are clean. I the wet the cup and it didn't work. Unlike another excellent suction cup I bought for a Transcend DrivePro 220 dashcam, this one is flimsy, light, difficult to adjust, has one adjustable direction, and on worse, the suction cup doesn't stick at all. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

First off the camera wouldn't completely slide into the mount as it was too tight a fit. Then it fell off twice in the cold weather, smashing the camera onto the dash. Also why not include this with the camera to begin with and not charge an extra twenty bucks for a cheaply made suction cup?

This suction cup mount solves two problems. 1. Mounting location is flexible . 2. Dash cam can be moved to another vehicle. This was my first dash cam and I did not know the best mounting location. The cam came with a mount with double sided tape(and a spare tape) but having this made it less of a testing chore for location. This mount holds secure and tight and the dash cam sits solidly, vibration free, in this mount. The bracket that the dash cam slides into is very, very tight. I had to apply some door ease lubricant (like vaseline/jelly) to the bracket and the dash cam slides in and out with east. Thus the dash cam can be removed to avoid theft.

While the sticker mount version held my Thinkware dashcam in place for several months on my previous car, when I changed cars almost two years ago, I had a hard time getting the second sticker that had been included to stay stuck to my new windshield. So I ordered this about 18 months ago or so from Amazon, and it has been a great replacement. Since that time, it has lost suction maybe twice, when the weather has turned cold for winter, and never while driving. The suction cup will also make it easier to transfer to another vehicle in the future.

This installed super easily and was a perfect direct replacement for the original part that came with the Thinkware cam. I changed vehicles and the manufacturer declined to send me a new sticker or mount as I had owned it for more than a year. Purchased this to replace it and was very happy with the time it took to install it and that it easily fit to replace the original part. Recommend.
