An Insightful and Inspiring Read
I must admit that I never thought I'd be reading so indepthly about the world of Harry Bentley when I first met him as the doorman in Neta Jackson's Yada Yada book series. But author Dave Jackson has taken him to an amazing level, in parallel to his wife, Neta's, books.I absolutely loved "Harry Bentley's Second Sight" and would recommend it to anyone who wants an interesting, inspiring story mixed with glimpses of faith throughout that give such strength, courage and eye-opening views on life that, for me, made me feel as inspired faithwise as Harry found himself in this book. Harry had almost given up on his faith - at least it was something he questioned and didn't understand too well. Until he hooked up with Souled Out's men's prayer group and began really exploring and getting some deep answers. The book delves into a life-altering situation that Harry faces - the possibility of his losing his sight, something we all depend on so much yet never think about how it'd be losing it. Other favorite characters are back in this book - Harry's love interest, Estelle; his grandson, DaShawn; Gabby Fairbanks and others. There is even a peek at what I hope could be further explored in a future book - Harry's relationship with his son, Rodney. This book sees Harry dealing with so much - his possible loss of eyesight, his battle with that issue itself, his guilt from this and how that affects his relationship with Estelle, her son, as well as his grandson, DaShawn. He also faces a huge danger unfolding with corrupt officer Fagan. Harry is lost and scared. He questions where is God when he finds himself feeling at his lowest. His "second sight" brings about much more change in his life than just what is regarding his eyesight. This is a beautiful story of perseverance, love and understanding with the right people in one's life, and realizing that God is never really far away after all. Author Dave Jackson did a fantastic job with this book. I look forward to more from this great author!

Great Book!
I really did not know what this book was about until I read the reviews. When I found out it was a book from the Yada Yada series, but it was about Harry Bentley I had to get it. I love all the Yada Yada books series! I can not put the series down they are so good. When I got the Harry Bentley's Second Sight, it was good. I could not put it down either. It is a emotional book in what Harry is going through. How he had to change his life style in order to get through the challenges that he was facing. I would recommend this book. There are some characters in this book from the Yada Yada sisterhood series which made it more enjoyable to read. Thank You Dave Jackson for this wonderful book.

Great read!
It was so interesting how this book paralled with the House of Hope series. It expanded so much the Harry Bentley character and also some of the others. I recommend this book to be read after Who Do I Lean On?

Great read
Dave help me view Harry's life through the eyes of a man. It was enlightening. It helped me see the importance of pour my life into the life of the grand nieces and nephews I have in my life. Harry really grows up when he begins to act out the meaning of real love.He gave up the pleasures of bachelorhood and retirement to open his heart and home to a grandson he never knew he had. The books can help a person learn how to see God at work in their own life.

Bad-da Boom
I have enjoyed ALL the Yada Yada Sisters books and this new series written from a man's point of view is really good, too. I keep wondering if I know any men who might read this book, but maybe it is not written so much for a man as it is to help a woman see things from a different perspective. This particular book has particularly good insights for those who may think they are "over the hill". I would especially recommend it to anyone 50+ ... man or woman ... who wants to read a good Christian novel that isn't preachy.

Amazing Read.
I must say I just love the Parallel books from the Jackson's. I was never a reader and my mother in law suggested I read Neta Jackson's Yada Yada books and I was addicted from the start. When her husband wrote his first Yada Yada Brother's book I was so excited and not let down. This book was amazing as well and did not disappoint. Harry Bently's Second Sight is such an easy read and I finished it with in a couple of days. I look forward to the next one and I hope there is a next one. Hint Hint!!

I liked the collaboration of husband/ wife team Dave and Neta Jackson
It was fun to read of Neta Jackson's characters in her husband Dave's book. That gave a new perspective on similar storylines. I hope they collaborate more in the future. I would be excited to read such collaborations

One of the Best Book I have ever read!
This Book picks up from the Yada Yada books and is very good reading. I really appreciate the authors spending so much time and effort to write these books. They make you feel like you are right there at the story. I love these books and highly recommend these books and any books written by Neta Jackson and her husband. If there were more than 5 stars to rate by this book and all other books by these authors would surely rate it. Thanks Mr. & Mrs. Jackson for these fine books.
