AcuRite13002 Intelli-Time Digital Alarm Clock 5-inch

Spectrum is doing an upgrade at no cot to customers. However, the new receivers do not have the time display that that the previous receivers had. The tine on the previous receivers was from the internet and, therefore, always corrected for power failures and time changes. The clocks are a good substitute. They also correct for power failures and time changes, but with a long-life battery and internal logic. Our only complaint is that the display brightness is a little too bright for us and is not adjustable.

This is very easy to use, my geriatric mom needs something user friendly. Can't beat the cost. She loves it and likes not having to set the time

Works great! Plug it in and the correct time (Almost) immediately shows up! It’s bright and easy to read at night - but not too bright - just right. Originally it was two (2) minutes slow and I couldn’t adjust it. I put up with it like that for almost a year and eventually took it to my precious daughter-in-law, who not only read the instructions and corrected the time, but inputted the correct date and year! She’s amazing, and so is the clock. I couldn’t be happier! 😁

The clock is small. The numbers are large enough to read easily. The battery backup is really wonderful to have when the electricity is off.

Nice small alarm clock, pleasant (enough) alarm, resets the time if there's an outage, the downside for me was the shut offbutton is very hard to find. Usually that button is distinctive so you can 'feel' for it. This one is in the middle of a bunch of buttons, all the same size... :( But easy to use, and seems dependable.

The slide controls on this clock are not the smoothest operating, but the set up is simple, and it's accurate. It's easy to read, not too small to handle, but not too big to be in the way on the night stand. I've had it in operation for 2 months and it's worked just fine. For the price, I don't think you can do better. I've returned 3 other models because they were such a pain to set the time and alarm. This one is straight forward.

Used an earlier model of this clock for some 20 years and loved it but the LED display on this model is so bright that I had to keep the display at an angle making it problematic to read. After a year of usage, I have finally solved this sucessfully by printing on white paper a rectangular grey-scale image (about 50% transparency) and taping it to the display which reduces the brightness to an acceptable level. I ordered a pricier Accurite model for my wife with a 2-stage dimmer but she found it also unacceptably bright even in the dim mode and uses a taped plastic shield to dim it more. I also put a dab of flexible glue on top of the alarm button so I can identify the alarm button easier by touch among the plethora of other similar buttons the top of the clock.

I am very pleased with this clock, all the reviews were extremely helpful and spot on.

No support from seller ibhejo, Defective piece send - . Assumed Battery operated but had need to plug to cord. Did not work after first time plug.
