These are low flow, large area coverage heads that replace high volume, low efficiency spray heads and give you back some needed pressure in the system. The landscaper/builder that installed my 3 circuit sprinkler system (in SWFL on Floratam) was, shall we say, not very smart. They mixed rotors and high volume spray heads on the same circuit that resulted in many dry spots, and many swamps, during the dry season. The most obvious answer was to install a 4th circuit (thousands of $). I replaced all the spray heads with a mix of hunter 800, 1000, 2000 and 3000 - 90's and one 360. This almost eliminated all dry spots without installing additional circuits and sprinklers. As far as durability and sturdiness, only time will tell. but probably no more susceptible to clogging than a normal spray head.

I purchased these hunter rotators to add to the existing underground irrigation system. There were some areas could not be watered enough without overwatering the rest. With these and a wifi irrigation timer connected to a outside faucet, those small dry areas now can be watered without wasting water. Very effective watering and good coverages for small areas!

These are flat out the best sprinkler heads on the market today. Great even distribution over the entire coverage area. Excellent water efficiency, I think the best. Less impacted by wind than other sprays. And the edge accuracy is amazing. I am a retired landscape contractor and these came out at the end of my career. Wish they had come out sooner. I use these in my own lawn.

I have switched all my sprinkler head to the MP rotator heads to save water, they work very well.

They screwed right into the sprinkler bodies, as expected, and worked fine. However, there doesn't seem to be any way to tell where the spray pattern is going to be without it running... which means that you're going to get soaked while adjusting the direction. I still haven't figured out how to limit the spray pattern, between 90-210 degrees or max distance.

Installs easily but rotator seems to freeze up and not spin properly

I needed low water usage plus long distance throw - normally a bad combination. The spec is 21' max, and I believe it, as I dialed the distance back to set to about 15'. The variable angle is very handy to set both the left and right limits. I recommend buying the circular tool to set the angle limits easily, and it's tiny screwdriver blade fits perfectly into the top to control the distance. Then, just enjoy the elegant movements, and the sound which is a bit like what you hear when aliens have invaded and are creeping up on you - but I learned to look forward to that sound.

Due to town officials allowing more building than we have water to use, older automatic sprinklers have are having to be replaced or rerouted and additional stations added. Until they find hunter mp2000090/mp rotator spray nozzle, they work wonderfully, I even have had to adjust down spray as concrete doesn't grow. I will recommend these to anyone who asks. Installing and adjusting took twenty minutes. They work so good that areas are covered 3 or 4 times so less watering time.
