Great MacBook Pro at a Very Reasonable Price - Just Add an Apple Power Converter and Mag-3 Cable
Apple builds great laptops, and buying a reconditioned MacBook Pro is a cost-effective way to have one. The seller, Chrome Source, sent me a great looking 2021 MacBook that probably hadn't seen much action. It's in top condition. I upgraded from a 2013 MacBook Pro that was no longer supported. As for compatibility, all of my peripherals have outdated USB connections, but are working fine with Apple USB/USB-C adapters. The sound from this model is wonderful. The power converter that came with the laptop was third-party and didn't last but a few hours. I bought a new Apple converter and an Apple Mag-3 power cable, and all is well. The business with the failed power converter didn't impact my satisfaction with the product or the seller. Someone else had commented on the power converter earlier so I was expecting it to fail.

It works, but play it safe. Do it if you can accept the risk.
I would recommend some general safety on your part before you decide on taking a gamble on buying a renewed item on Amazon. I've done it once before with an iPhone 12 mini a few years ago. Loved that phone. Actually got a pretty decent phone all things considered. My experience was that of impulse. I wanted a MacBook for awhile. Last year I bought a Mac mini, but I was really starting to feel the burn of not having a real beefier computer, so I ended up getting a desktop PC. I like my PC, but it has very specific use cases. I've ran into issues where I'd like to have a laptop, or rather the portable-ness that comes with having a laptop. I was going to go with a Mac Neo or Air. But as a photographer, I really wanted to have something with a bigger screen to really get the most out of my purchase. A new MacBook M5 pro 16 inch is somewhere close to 2500. Which is out of my budget. I stumbled onto this guy and thought it was too good to be true. An M1 Pro, with 16gb for 760. I figured since the iPhone I got was good. This would be good too. And it is. I got this because this specifically had the prime association, so I figured if it didn't work I'd be able to replace it fairly quickly. I ended up ordering this and got it a few hours later which was sweet. The box it came in... what a joke. It was this flimsy cardboard that was barely holding on. The paper was warped and old. The flap it came with was very loosely closed, just moving it slightly felt like the box was going to disintegrate. Thankfully the laptop was protected with a sturdy bubble pillow case. My MacBook is virtually fine. No problems with the keyboard or screen. The back was mostly scratch free outside of the sticker residue on the back corner. But it's small and can be cleaned. It came with what I think is a real MacBook charger, but it's just USB C, not MagSafe. It had no battery life when I got it. I was a little afraid it wouldn't charge. Sure enough it did and soon we were off and running. This is a solid laptop. I've been putting it through the paces and it's been working great. It's got a fantastic screen and has all the extra ports, like HDMI and SD slots. I've taken a look at the battery and it's been showing at around 90 percent. Not too shabby I say. The battery life is crazy. I have a windows 16 inch laptop for work and it's dead within like two or three hours. So far I've been unplugged for a hour on this guy and we're on 98%. I've watched a few videos and written this review in that time. The reality is this laptop is older and in terms of compatibility who knows how many updates it will continue to get. However, I'm not overall too worried as long as it lasts for two or three years just so I can get the most out of it. Once it's gone I'll see about turning this into a linux based laptop and live out life that way to eek as much as I can for this. The screen on the is really incredible and it for sure has some pop to it. The mini LED tech is really so cool to see in action on this. I watched the movie Casino on here and it was impressive seeing the black ratio be pretty good. Not quite OLED, but mark my words. The OLED MacBook Pro is going to be complete overkill. I will say, when this computer finally won't update anymore, I'll definitely end up getting a new one since I'll know for sure I'll my moneys worth out of it.

Excellent Refurbished Apple MacBook Pro 16" Late 2021
Ordered an Amazon refurbished Apple MacBook Pro Late 2021. The computer arrived on the promised date. It was extremely clean without any noticeable dings or scratches on the case. There was only slight wear on some of the keys. The unit was easy to set up. The battery shows to be 90% +. It has performed very well. Great buy!!

Great computer, broken keyboard, broken customer service
So far, terrible customer service from this Amazon seller. I ordered a 2021 MBP 16" since it was 50% off for Prime Days. The condition was listed as "Refurbished - excellent". To be fair, the computer looks brand new; and so far seems to operate without a hitch. EXCEPT the bottom row of the keyboard doesn't work, save the letters V and B. It's not a software issue: I've updated the software, restarted in safe mode, run diagnostics, etc. The clincher is that an external Bluetooth keyboard works fine. I'd like to exchange it for a working model, but can't get ahold of the seller. Though their page says to send an email to their Amazon address, nowhere can I find that email. I've also called the Techdeals4less customer service number a couple times - no answer, a recorded voice telling me all reps are busy, then telling me to wait for the next rep, then immediately voice mail. I've left messages but my call hasn't been returned. I get that things happen, and that a certain number of items will be flawed. It's the way of the world. It's also why customer service exists. So buyer beware! You might get lucky with a great deal on a perfectly fine item. But if you get a lemon you're out of luck!

An Honest Review 👀
First time doing any Amazon review, I really don’t care about these sorts of things, BUT, this product has been amazing so far! : —>I’ve purchased the 512gb 16gb ram model, with the space gray coloring of course. Now, according to Amazon’s Refurbished Service, my MacBook did have the cosmetic marks like as listed (purchased the excellent refurbishment). Yet, the MacBook Pro has been flawless in its computing. Since the day I opened it, up until nearly a month, no issues at all. The performance was amazing, and was able to run heavy apps simultaneously (5 heavy apps and not any throttling yet). There were more ports on the MacBook, such as 2 usb-c ports (lighting fast btw), HDMI and Ethernet, and lastly a sd port. The airflow system the MacBook carried made it never heat up a lot. Their speakers were amazing, reaching great bass and clear vocals easily. Now, only flaws I’ve had yet were two things. Battery and cosmetic flaw: —>If you’re super into battery life, this product typically reaches 80-90% battery health on average. Luckily, I was able to have a decent 88% max battery, but definitely worth it. Even with my battery, I’ve had at least 14 hrs open without reaching 20% yet. Now the cosmetics. The keyboard already came with a bit of “shine” (assuming that it’s pre owned) and the pre-owned scratch marks left a permanent mark on the hard shell of my MacBook. Just small scratch marks though, not like a hammer hit it or anything. It won’t matter if you get a case for it lwk 🤷🏽. —>Regardless, a very useful and effective MacBook that always packed a huge punch! Worth it if you want a laptop that’s definitely fast, can outperform any app, and worthwhile for years.

Chrome store on Amazon
I purchased the MacBook Pro with M1 Pro from the Chrome Store on Amazon, and the experience has been excellent so far. The performance is extremely fast, with smooth multitasking and no lag even during heavy workloads. The battery life is impressive and easily lasts a full workday. The display is sharp and vibrant, the build quality feels premium, and macOS runs very smoothly on Apple silicon. It’s also surprisingly quiet and stays cool during use. Overall, this is a powerful and reliable laptop, well worth the investment for professionals and everyday users alike. Highly recommended.

Super fast Macbook with plenty of ports
I'm not a fan of the price of Macbooks but if you can get past that, this truly is a great laptop. It's very fast and powerful. This is my main work computer, and I run lots of software throughout the day, such as Word and Excel, but also several browser windows with many tabs open, Slack, and Zoom with no problems at all. I also do video editing (Da Vinci Resolve) while everything else is running and still no loading issues. This is my first Mac with an M chip and I was worried I might run into software compatibility issues but I was able to transfer everything from my Intel-based Macbook to this one seamlessly. This has three USB-C ports and each one is capable of charging the computer or connecting to an external monitor, which is great. But this also has a proprietary charging port if you need an extra USB-C port and it has an HDMI port if you want to use that for a monitor. The charging cable also connects magnetically, which is nice because it'll pop right off if you accidentally trip over the wire. There's also an SD port, which is awesome for me since I do a lot of photo and video editing work. It's so much easier to pull the SD card out of my camera and download media to the computer or to another hard drive. I ordered the 16" model after using a 14" model for years and it took me a while to get used to it. This computer is much larger and felt way oversized for several weeks but I eventually got used to it. I still miss my old 14" laptop for portability though because it was smaller and much lighter. I still haven't taken this computer out with me because it's big and I'd rather just leave it at home. But the benefits of a larger screen is a huge plus. On the smaller Mac, I couldn't split screen and work out of two windows. The 16" model makes split screen possible, so I don't always need an external monitor. I'm far more productive with this screen. Another drawback of the size is the large hand rest area. I have to reach much further to reach the keys and my wrists rest on the edge of the laptop, which is a little uncomfortable. I wouldn't say one size is better than the other, just that each one has its benefits. The screen is huge. I have another 15.5" PC laptop and the screen on this Mac feels so much larger, because the bezel on the edges is very thin. Very little space is wasted here. The speakers are great and that's one thing I've always loved about Macbooks over PC laptops (or at least the ones I've owned). I have three other Windows machines and the speakers are terrible and sound tinny. But the audio on this Macbook feels like you're surrounded by the sound and everything sounds crisp and clear. You can hear the bass. The camera is pretty good, and much better than previous models (such as the 2019 model I previously used). It's not amazing and you'lll probably still want to use an external camera for higher quality video calls, but this camera is still surprisingly good. It does a great job of lightening up the scene in dark rooms.

[Buyer Beware] Mixed Experience with MBP M1 Pro Purchase
I recently acquired a MacBook Pro M1 Pro, and while the device itself is in excellent condition and appears to be a worthwhile investment, I wanted to share my mixed experience due to a discrepancy with the listed accessories. Pros: The MacBook Pro M1 Pro is in impeccable condition, and its performance has proven to be well worth the money. The battery, in particular, is commendable, having only undergone four cycles. Cons: Regrettably, my satisfaction is tempered by false advertising from the seller. The product listing clearly stated that the MacBook Pro would be accompanied by a USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable (2 m) and a 140W USB-C Power Adapter. However, upon receiving the item, it became evident that these accessories were not included. Instead, I received a third-party power charger with a maximum output of 68W and a USB-C to USB-C cable. Efforts to resolve this discrepancy with the seller were made, but the best resolution offered was a mere $30. This falls significantly short of the actual market value for a used OEM 140W power adapter and USB-C to MagSafe cable. As a result, I find myself currently navigating the inconvenience of slow charging or, at times, the potential inability to charge adequately. While the MacBook Pro itself meets expectations, the disparity between the advertised and received accessories has led to some disappointment. I hope to find a more satisfactory resolution in the future.
