Rev-A-Shelf 14" Pull Out Valet Rod for Closet Organization, Extendable Sliding Clothes Storage Hanging Rack with Mounting Hardware, Chrome, CVR-14-CR

This valet rod is sturdy and very easy to install. Unlike similar products that require drilling holes into closet walls or have fixed distances between mounting points, this one has a clever design with two independent brackets that can be mounted any distance apart, up to about 12” for the 14” model. The brackets fit perfectly into the pre-drilled holes used for closet shelves and are secured with included short screws. Longer wood screws are also included if you don’t have pre-drilled holes. After screwing in the brackets, simply slide the valet tube through and lock it in place with a small hex-head screw. The installation took only about 5 minutes, although I probably took an additional 10 minutes for measuring and picking the perfect spot. The pull-out portion slides out effortlessly for hanging clothes and then back in when not needed. It's a great product for conveniently hanging clothes temporarily.

These worked perfectly on an EasyClosets install and are a fraction of the cost compared to the offering from them. They use "Euro screws" to install into the existing adjustable shelf holes ( 3/16" holes) or include additional screws for mounting in non pre-drilled locations. My only nit is that I wish there were more resistance when sliding them out so it felt like a pneumatic tube instead of a free sliding one. (It slides very easily.). Install takes about a minute to do. Wish it came in a matte black or flat black option. Used two sets so that one could be mounted higher and a second at waist height so that you could assemble an outfit (top and bottom) while selecting clothes. Also nice to hang the dry cleaning on while getting sorted back into the closet. Will definitely buy again.

Very sturdy and easy to install

I had been searching for a valet rod that would work with the existing holes in my Ikea closet (Ikea didn't even offer such an option!). Tried multiple other brands, but all of the mounting brackets lined up in a way that made using ONLY the existing holes impossible. The unique design of this item worked perfectly, was easy to install, and looks better as there is no bracket showing.

Make sure to measure your closet . I have different depth sizes in my closet and I need 4 more 2 of them don't go far out enough we had to drill on the wood. But the product itself is nice. Make sure to measure the depth of your closet

Have been looking for a solution, as to where to hang my clothes, after ironing or picking out OOTD. Well, here it is! While I do have a customized closet and room to hang/store all my clothes, I love to use this valet rod-to hang clothes that I have either set aside to wear, keep unwrinkled or to hang while steaming. Be creative as to where to hang yours. I found the brackets too bulky when mounted on sides, taking up valuable storage space, so I ended up mounting underneath. Very solid and well-built.

So easy to install!

I first saw this product in a closet while we were staying at an Airbnb home and I thought it would be a great addition to my own closet at home. It is sleek and modern looking. The metal is of good heavy quality and no issues to date, although I will admit I have only had it for a few months. However, I do not anticipate any problems but will update things if something should go wrong. My biggest reason for writing the review is the customer service. When I ordered this product, like many people, I did not get around to installing the unit until I had time. When I finally opened the package, I found that one of the mounts was missing and of course it was after Amazon's return policy had ended. I contacted the company through Amazon and Laine the customer service rep reviewed my issue. I wanted to see if I could at least purchase the mount, since it was unique to the product, and not something that could be easily found at a hardware store. After about a week of Q&A she sent out a replacement mount free of charge which was unexpected and much appreciated. Had to give a shout out for the extra effort, in addition to creating such a great product. Thank you!

Every closet should come standard with these things!!

This Pull Out Valet is exactly what I have been looking for. The 14" more than meets my needs. Easy to install. Great for hanging garments when ironing or putting an outfit together.

Loved this addition to my new closet. Makes picking out outfits for the next day super easy. I wasn’t sure this would work with the IKEA Pax system but it did - just screwed in to the existing holes.
