Aliens vs Predator Omnibus

Excellent read but the books are in the wrong order
I'm close to finishing this book and if I didn't say I've loved it I'd be lying. But, when you read this book beware that they're out of order. You want to read Prey, War and then Hunter's Planet for the true flow of the story. I was confused reading War before I figured out that it occurred between the other two books

Solid and Entertaining
Steve Perry does an excellent job telling a cohesive, in-depth, multi-faceted science fiction book in the Predator universe with this series. He handles suspense, action/horror, and character development very well. The couple criticisms I have are minor and not at all detrimental to his otherwise solid book- there are few major twists or surprises, the ones that are there are built up to a little too much for my taste.. Though he will surprise from time to time, and it is very entertaining! I just feel like he could be a little more daring with his writing- these stories seem safe, solid, and good- but not earth shattering. I will check out his other works :-D

Great book
I have been reading Perry ever since his first book many years ago now. I really liked his take on the Preditor culture of warrior and their interactions with humans. I wish he would write more AVP based books. Thanks Steve.

An imperfect heroine in a world of monsters.
A heroin for all of us who wanted to kick*#! like Ripley. While invisible cutting and blasting our way fearlessly through our nightmares. Here's a human in a world of monsters, enjoy the trip.

Better...
This was a replacement for a purchase where the item arrived with a torn cover. This one arrived with a scuffed cover, but hey, it wasn't torn. What happened to new items seeming pristine? Probably more annoyed because this is for a gift.

Great addition to my collection
I read these in single books before the two film's, first film is good. However I should not have gotten rid of them, re-getting them and many other's before Disney starts making new film's. One of the New comic's is coming out soon.

A true clash
AVP Omnibus is a must have for fans of this crossover franchise. This book follows the tales of Machiko Noguchi, a woman caught up in these deadly battles. The omnibus delivers action, intrigue and a colourful cast of characters. A thoroughly enjoyable read and I would recommend it to anyone who likes Aliens and Predators duking it out!

I'm really glad I bought it!
It's Alien and Predator :)This Omnibus includes three stories:PreyHunters PlanetWarPrey 5/5The reason I bought this book in the first place. I read this as a kid. Loved it. Read it again recently, loved it more. It's suspenseful, imaginative and definitely hold's your attention. The characters are well written, you care what happens to them. This should have been the AvP movie.Hunters Planet 2/5It has some good parts, but it's very slow. The beginning was full of possibility and it felt like it was building to something exciting but it never reached a satisfactory peak. The new enemy 'buggers' are silly, I didn't feel they were accurately described either. The characters at first seem interesting, but that interest quickly fizzled out. I'm glad I read it, but it won't be read again. You could actually skip this book, it doesn't add a whole lot to the story.War 3.5/5This one is trickier. It starts off a little slow, but mid way through it picks up and when it does it's gripping. It's action elements are well written, I would read this again. This book shares some scenes with Hunters Planet for some reason, they're almost identical actually. You'll know what I mean when you read it as you'll find yourself flipping back to Hunters Planet with a feeling of Deja Vu. The shared sequences are written much better in War though. If not for the slow start I'd have given this a 4-4.5/5
