Nest Floodlight Eave Mount, White (MF001)

This is a great solution for mounting Google cameras underneath the eaves in your house. They’re really simple to install them they look great. They feel really secure too. They seem to be very solidly made and I expect them to hold up for years. Highly recommend it.

Before purchasing the item, I read several reviews talking about having to open a new space to pass the camera cables and make the wiring work without mishaps. The truth is that the installation went very well for me and I had no problems with anything. The screw holes fit perfectly and it's an added bonus that this camera stand comes with longer screws. It's incredible how the camera fits into this base, despite being 3D printed. Finally, one of the things that I loved the most was supporting a local seller. Great.

GREAT PRODUCT! DID EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS DESIGNED TO DO! I checked the negative reviews and it seemed the overwhelming issue was "fit". I don't doubt that was an issue but it seems like there were engineering changes and much better QC involved in the unit I received. First the bracket is a great idea and fills a need. Second, doing this on a second story, I was concerned I would lose my mind. I dry fit everything on land laid it all out on the ground. I have to say, it went together easily once on the ladder. Everything lined up including the rear hole. One thing I did discover when dry fitting and would suggest to anyone who purchases this, is to swap out the 3/4 in mounting screws that come with the camera and purchase (4) 1 inch screws. When you mount the bracket to the Google cove plate and then to the mounting plate attached to the ceiling box, it felt like there was only 2 threads attached to the plate. I used a full size box so clearance was not an issue. I can't see it being an issue with a low pro box either. All and all, i am going to purchase a few more and retrofit the rest of my eaves that have standard floods. Great job. BTW this is my wife's account, I am sure she is capable but her husband wrote the review as he....did the work.

How Google doesn't have a dual mounting option is beyond me. This mounting bracket is perfect! Note, this is a homemade, 3D-printed piece. Close up it's not as polished looking as a factory-molded piece. But the fitment was perfect. Many have mentioned holes not aligning. I had this issue at first, only to realize the wire the back has to be in the channel a very specific way. I had minor issues with both my front yard and back yard mounts. Possible design flaw, but it was relatively simple to move the wires slightly for a perfect fit. I highly recommend a dry fit on the ground as a test before you get on a ladder.Highly recommend.

Whomever designed this eave mount God Bless you and your family. If anyone is hesitant or has doubts about ordering the eave mount doubt no more. Place it in your cart and checkout immediately. The mount fits perfectly and snug around the body of the floodlight camera. In addition one the camera body is pushed firmly towards the rear of the mount and a little elbow grease is used to twist to lock in place the camera is very secure. I had no issues utilizing the supplied camera screw to secure the camera to the mount. I went a step further to add a circular fan box to provide the additional room for the wiring to be stored. These cameras are going on a utility pole so I ordered the security camera mount as well. The nest floodlight camera was purchased from best buy online refurbished area for $179. So with adding the additional pieces it's still less then what I would have paid for full price of the camera alone. Sir or Madame your genius and I look forward to purchasing a few more. Only thing is I tried to put three in my cart at once but wouldn't allow me to so had to order them separately. However they all arrived in one package and on time as expected. Thank you!!!!

They let you mount the Google Next Cams horizontal like it was meant to be but I found that on many of my flood light locations in which the gutters got in the way of installation and would not allow this mount to work. Now I leaned that you can indeed mount the Google Nest cams upside down and it actually provided more freedom of maneuver for the cameras and floodlights without using this mount. This upside down mounting did not hinder anything on the camera and weather also was not a problem. So if you need to mount with this adapter it’s the only solution but I don’t think you necessarily need it I have many locations some of them have this mount and some of them do not and both work exactly the same all sensors work exactly the same, no whether interference. Also something to note I ordered 8 of these and half of them broke when inserting the camera into the housing, and a few did not line up the locking screw correctly I believe they may have slightly altered it to fix these issue and if you need this installation solution I would still recommend to get these but know it’s not the only solution as you can just mount it upside down with no adverse effects and just set in the app 180 degrees turn if the camera to make it right.

Really impressed with the product, looks and feels great. With the way the bracket on the back of the camera works though in order to slot the camera in, you need the clearance to be able to rotate it…. A 3.5” x 2” deep junction box did the trick for me

Thank you to the engineer(s) that created this. I followed all the instructions & it installed without much issue. It did take patience & subtle force to precisely align the holes - the hole & screw hole looked visible align but was slightly off. I was able to align it perfectly by rotating the camera base (while it was still installed) w/o removing the camera base & the screw went in & Bob’s your uncle!
